~ It appears that most of us already have been exposed - hence all the new "cases".
I keep an eye on the death rate.

So Victoria is to Australia what New York is to the U.S.

Also, I didn't imply they'll fail. I hope they don't. It would be difficult for any place to fail as badly as NYC.

That's actually a likely outcome, good job.

Which way the cookie crumbles depends a lot of how things play out. I'm afraid my crystal ball is in the shop.

Prudence would dictate caution for 30-year-olds who may want to become parents (does it impact fertility?), or enjoy reasonably good health as they get older.

There are steps they can take to protect themselves and their friends. Barhopping isn't one of them.

No, they aren't spending enough. Look at the second chart I gave you.
Yes, by Trump. People are tired of playing games over masks. The decent thing to do is wear a mask if you can't socially distance. Local ordinances and state governments should mandate masks in indoor public spaces.

You shouldn't be allowed to rent a cab, take a bus, train, or airplane without a face covering. No more games with people. Don't like a mask? Get a respirator...

They want to have a test for the virus with a fast turnaround.

We need to make effective PPE for everyone who wants or needs it. This should have been in the works four months ago. It's less expensive than shutting down the economy.

Is this where you and your pals start in about your right not to wear a mask? :deadhorse:

~ You are "projecting " your own fears onto others. Adopt a cat ! Taking care of something else that depends on you will help. It's a good thing.

Great side-by-side photo of Ocasio-Cortez and the president. Haven't seen that one before. Glad they got her good side.

And they should close down or modify the way a business operates if it encourages the spread of COVID-19. They're public nuisances. If they can't operate a restaurant or bar with people socially distancing, they should shut down.

It's a large outbreak. Australia has isolated the State of Victoria. There are very few cases in the rest of Australia.

They're determined to suppress the virus. I wouldn't bet against them.

People complain they don't have effective PPE. Who are you to tell them what they need? Anyway, I gave this option for whiners upset about wearing a mask.

Slice and dice it any way you like. Australia has 128 total deaths. Texas had 218 just today. No state has gone over 200 per day since late May.

Australia does have a problem, though. It had only 106 total deaths until last week.

NY had norther Italy, but that's not all. NY taxed everyone to death and didn't build up any medical stockpiles or plans for adding short-term hospital beds for an unexpected emergency.

Yes, I saw the day's numbers. 55 days of protests.

I also never advocated for anyone not to wear mask or keep their keep a 6' distance. (Neither did the OP make this a "mask" thread.)

Young protesters don't care about killing old people.

You'll be okay when Trump is gone. The spell will be broken.
