    A poster on this board suggested in another thread that the only reason people lampoon Kamala Harris' name is "racism" and "sexism." What BS. Politicians have been the target of satire since the Greeks invented the polis.

    Alexander The Great? More like Alexander The Mediocre. "Laugh Out Loud, Theosophenes!!"

    I like "Kommie-La." It fits perfectly. But is it racist and sexist as our very confused colleague claims? No, of course not. How stupid to even suggest.

    But it got me thinking, there have been some really clever plays on political names over the years.

    A few of my favorites...

    Ronnie Ray-Gun.
    Nancy Pelousy.
    "Chuck U" Schumer.
    Slick Willie Clinton and his wife Mdme. Sec. Shrillary Cankles Pantsuit Rodham Clinton (aka "Crooked Hillary").
    Ilhan Hoe-Mar.
    Bitch McConnel.
    Tricky Dick.
    The Governator.
    Governor Moonbeam.
    Gavin Newscum.

    And of course, Xoe "Sniffy McFingers" Xiden and its sidekick Kommie-La "the incarcerator" D. Harris.

    And last but not least, Bad Orangeman Mango Shitstain tRump.

    I don’t remember her name but Nixon accused her of being “pink right down to her underwear”. It was supposed to be an insult. I guess she just liked wearing pink.

    There was a time when people would laugh about nicknames given to the candidate they voted for. These times are long gone. Everything now is dead serious, a war of words between mortal enemies.

    Now, of course the nicknames should be lighthearted and not sociopathic.

    For example, Slick Willie and Shrillary were good ones. Shrub, just meh.

    On the other hand, Obatard, Obozo, Obummer... were just condescending and told more about the mental state of the ones who used them. They were certainly not funny.

    The same goes for Brandon. We all know that it means f Biden. That's not funny or lighthearted, it just shows that the ones using the chant have mentally never grown up from middle school.

    However, sleepy Joe is not bad.

    I don't disagree with your suggestion of the evolution from nicknames from light-hearted to vicious.

    What about all the nicknames for Trump? Thise people never got out of middle school too, right? See the post above yours, for example.

    I thought Obozo was pretty benign and I always pictured him with tufts of neon red hair and a big rubber nose when I heard that one. He also made fun of his own giant ears which I always appreciated and went perfectly with the clown theme.

    Yep, I don't agree with Trump's many nicknames either, especially the vicious ones like "Orange Turd". In fact, I never called him names myself. I think name calling is childish. If I had to pick one fore him, the "King of Debt" is harmless and probably describes him best, and he has even used it himself.
