We had have career military, very young children and at least one US senator placed on this list for no known reason.

I once talked this over with the former head of the Shah police communication top man. He was schooled in police communication in the USA. He was one of the lucky ones. He retired maybe 5 years before the Shah was kicked out. He came close to being executed. His friends were murdered by the religious fanatics.

Unless they moved out of the SF Bay Area, his sons came to the USA for a fine education and were hired in Silicon Valley.

His story was if one had money, they had little to fear from Savak. He said the common person is better off with the religious fanatics but the upper tier are far worse off.

I got that same story even from Iranian supervisors who came here and even one teacher I got to know who converted to being catholic. That amazed me. He chased women like few others did. He constantly asked me for tips to seduce women.

No one here is suggesting that all Muslims are radical. Of course the vast majority are not. BUT, if the chips are down and they're forced to choose between ....
