I've said this before, the Women's Rights section should be closed. Or else rename it: 'The Bitter, Twisted, Angry Men Whining / Ranting about Women Section'. Pathetic. Let's have a Men's Rights section and watch all the women come running to trash the men in that section. But that won't happen. Why? Because the women here aren't as bitter and twisted as THOSE PARTICULAR MEN who run to this section to bash women. Women's Rights? Nah, not as long as the misogynists who frequent this section could have a say in it. BUT THEY DON'T HAVE A SAY IN IT. And it's 2012. And some of these fella's are back in their caves wonderin' why it's so dark and why they think so apart / so differently from the mainstay of rational, intelligent, educated, modern, enlightened, sensible men. Misogynists are every bit as horrible as racists and the other bigots. What is it with SOME of the men on this forum? That they think they have LICENSE to be utter dirt bags and trash groups of people just cos they feel like it... cos they think they're what? Better people? Yes, acting like swine on a political forum really makes one a better person, of course. This feminist says stuff you.
There shouldn't have to be a distinction between a man's or a woman's right. Our rights are clearly stated in our Constitution that include both genders, so for there to be something called women's rights is as foolish as saying that a woman has a right to murder her unborn child.
Misogyny is the natural outgrowth of a feminism that seeks to dominate males with matriarchal legal institutions. You brough it upon yourselves when you demanded that men retain all of the responsibilities to be a patriarchal provider but offer none of the privileges. Just becasue we disagree with some parts of the feminist agenda, namely the matriarchal anti-male legal aspects of it, does not mean we disagree with all women's rights issues. Have your job, have your education, have your vote by all means. But don't use your vote and demographic majority to force men into legal bondage under the law.
I agree. Why should women have their own special rights? What about "Men's Rights" ? Perhaps this section should be renamed "Gender Rights". That would be the only politcally correct thing to do.
Exactly, feminism today has nothing to do with equal rights and all to do with forcing equal performance of females over males in areas where females underperfom. Those areas usually being those where the power lies (like politics and board of directors in big corporations). But it gets even better... The woman that get these position are usually feminist themselves, a conservative traditional woman doesn't get the support of this hate lobby. So in conclusion female rights are just an excuse for feminists to gain ever more power which they use for their male hating agenda. It's not their demographic majority that's forcing these laws, it's the mens lack of consciousness that's the problem. I mean, many woman recognize this for what it is but men are, i think, in general too proud to see the reality here.
Woman's problems are so miniscule and insignificant compared to mens problems that any half-decent person wouldn't have the decency to even mention them. That's why this subforum should be changed.
Lol. This from a man that doesn't want women to vote. And goes off the rails on 'femanazi' rants. Yes, yes, a man who doesn't want women to vote is such an endearing fella for women to want to engage in conversation.
Irrespective of what it's called... the content and nature of the whining wouldn't change. Women don't have a Women's Rights section here. It's actually a section where certain men come to bash women. By all means, let these men have a Men's Rights section to bash women from there as well. This isn't about gender. It's about character. Some people have a good character and some people have a bad character. Not about gender... it's about bitter, twisted LOOPS.
Way to go. Dismissing women's problems as miniscule compared to men's problems. Of course. You're a man and you say so, LOL. I say shove this section down the toilet. A fitting demise for the vile, disgusting posts accompanying this section every step of the way. PM your local mod for removal / flush.
Yeah, its liberal women that shouldn't be allowed to vote, and that would include those femanazi commie women. Its only liberal women, i.e. femanazi women who militantly push to change the consitution to include some of these hairbrained ideas or policies that shouldn't or don't have anything to do with 'rights'--more like they have to do with a whining marxist agenda that is in every way anti American in nature.
May I remind you though, that when the Constitution was written, it wasn't written with the intention of giving any rights to the women of the time! At that time, women were considered the "property" of their father, then husband, then son. . . never a "human in it's own right!" Women were not allowed to vote Women were not allowed to marry who they chose Women were not even allowed to inherit their wealthy father's fortune, but rather were given the annuities on that fortune. . . and one of my heiress friend still lives under that rule set for her inheritance by her grand father (a descendant of the Mudd family) while her brothers were GIVEN their share of the inheritance! If you think that the Constitution has the perfect answer to granting equal rights to women. . . I believe it is because the "interpretation" would be VERY different than what it was in the 18th century. . .and I guess those attached to the LITERAL word of the constitution wouldn't like that either! And, maybe that is where the extreme Right would like to take us back to: give the men control over a woman's body once more!
I'm just so glad extreme Right mysoginists continue to advocate to take away the rights of women! It certainly helps create a STRONG parallel between the Right and the Left! Good luck with that! LOL
I was thinking about putting the Women's rights section into Humor and Satire. Women right's are a joke. JK. But in all seriousness, the subforums are based upon what's popular. Women rights are big enough to have a subforum. I would consider that a compliment.
There is nothing 'complimentary' in this section. Just a group of particular bitter, twisted men, bashing women.
pff.. bitter and twisted? No one here is bitter and twisted at women. But rather laws there a vocal minority of women made the demand that men remain the patriarchal providers for the family, yet give us no legal protection from having that patriarchal providing protected. My wealth is my wealth and any future spouse of mine had better have her own because I'm going to have a pre-nup drawn up to ensure she gets none of it. You deny your own evolutionary psychology and biology and claim they are 'social constructs' in need of destruction. Face it, nature gave you a gender role. Be a real woman and live up to it.
You despise feminists and feminism yet your future spouse(s) need to have the main traits of a feminist. It must be very difficult being you.
It`s hilarious to watch people who think that respect for woman didn`t exist until the present dogmatic, feminist movement got under way. In fact, regrettably, the opposite is true.
It's sad to watch people who think that respect for women has anything to do with feminism. There's hardly any feminism in the arab world and respect towards women there is as good as non-existant. The striving for women's rights isn't simply a case of feminism, it's about equal rights and equality in general. The most liberated men fight for women's rights coz they don't feel threatened by gender equality.
Balderdash!!!! There is no such thing as 'equal rights'; if there were then America would be just another third world socialist banana republic. I own a Rolls Royce and have a cool million in my bank account; does that mean according to your 'equal rights' theory that 'YOU' should have an equal right to my possessions? Does equal rights mean that we should all be driving around in a beat up VW bug, all be dropping out of work to join the welfare line with the rest of the OWS's and loser types? What people like you and every other liberal feminist out there are confusing is the term 'equal rights' with the term 'equal opporitunity'. Sure hope you can see the difference.
Silly attempt to mock equal rights. Surely you know equal rights create equal opportunities. And surely you know equal rights are not about 'driving around in a beat up VW bug'. Or maybe you don't.
I'm not mocking equal rights, I'm telling you there is no such thing as equal rights. The only thing I see as possibly being an issue with equality is with 'equal opporitunity'. Why do you suppose the feminist movement tries to push and pass the 'ERA' The Equal Rights Amendment onto our states only to get defeated every time? Anything coming from these femanazi groups and movements has one major theme behind their madness, and that is of its hatred of men, and so any and all of these so-called equal rights issues all have men bashing as its number one messAGE.
I don't live in the US so we have a different reality here. Equal rights, the whole shebang. I could say a whole lot about the US right now but I will keep it civilised. You on the other hand did mention something about a banana republic...
I live in a country where men and women love each other a lot more than in a certain banana republic I am not going to mention. A country where men are men and thus not afraid of women with equal rights and equal opportunities to their own.
What a load of total rubbish, constructed by misogynist minds to discredit feminism and give the ignorant a stick to beat women with. Even the fact that you use the word "feminazi" and have no respect for what people suffered at the hands of the actual Nazis, nor any compunction about inaccurately labeling people who have no association whatsoever with Nazis, purely in order to discredit and smear the work they do, is evidence of your pathetic motivations. Feminists were forced to fight for equality in law and have achieved advances. Dinosaurs still do not wish to accept that the law and the world have changed, therefore feminists are forced to reinforce the requirement to respect equal opportunities. And will continue to do so until people like yourself see there is no point in clinging to obsolete and irrelevant sexism. The only way this is ever going, is toward increased opportunity for women. Get over it.
