Well well, it turns out seniors don't like being told they'll receive a "voucher" for health insurance.

I listened today to him in 2005 bragging about how he was going to privatize Social Security, these are sick individuals, and really dangerous.

People died unnecessarily and prematurely before social security and they will again if these terrorists are able to destroy it...you could call this an act of war by these filth.

Well well nothing. AARP sold out to the liberal mantra long ago. They, AARP, will make out pretty well, but the people they supposedly represent will get screwed. We'll see in Nov, but my gut tells me Romney will do just peachy with the over 60 crowd despite the AARP propaganda spin.

I gave up my AARP membership when I realized that AARP is basically an insurance company that stands to benefit big-time from Obamacare. It's not surprising that seniors who did not bother to figure this out and to truly understand Obamacare would boo.

They, not to mention we, do not know what a fricking disaster Obamacare is. Parts of it are already unworkable. Once these seniors figure out that cutting healthcare costs involves rationing, they will be pissed, and they will morfully realize that booing Ryan was a mistake.

1 - The AARP meeting was in New Orleans which is as deep in the democrats pocket as you can get. The only way the audience could be any more oppositional would be if Ryan went to the dnc.

2 - AARP sold out to obamacare in 2009 and is a prime example of govt buying off corporate opposition. crony capitalism at its worst.

3 - I give big bonus points to Ryan for appearing in person and presenting his plan. I watched Ryan's speech, he spoke clearly and directly without the pandering and BS that obama gave.

Big Win to Ryan. Big loss to obama.

    Not surprising.

The folks at AARP represent the leftwing of the geezer population.

All they want is government handouts and Obama to hand it out to them.

Whatever guys........it's almost as if Republicans are on the verge of admitting Romney/Ryan have huge problems post DNC convention.

I think Romney's only hope is all that practice debating he's doing.

Turns out that whichever seniors were booing their chance for an HSA-based health care (what coupons, vouchers actually do), are friggin' DUNCES, duped by the DNC's LIES, or operatives themselves...

You are hardly an unbiased observer.

You will bash Romney no matter what the situation is.

I don't like the voucher idea, either. You pay your whole life to have the government recycle YOUR hard earned dollars and hand it back you. How about just don't collect it in the first place?

I would like us to go back to the way it was before and just let insurance companies practice across state lines.

Show me one post where I "bashed" Romney.......

Because pointing out he has problems is not bashing him.

I usually bash Fox News, Rush, and most of conservative media. And I bash posters here for believeing the 24 hour cable news on both sides.

But you won't find any Romney bashing from me, give the search function a try....maybe I did and forgot about it.

lol - This is laughable. Everyone knows AARP was for Obamacare before it was even passed. Of course he was booed, he's going against AARP's interests, which are not for the elderly.

What I find most interesting is that we have Romney and Ryan, speaking the truth of what they want to do in front of people who won't approve, yet they don't sit there trying to make nice, nice with these people, they just tell them what they plan to do.

Then when Obama speaks, its telling the people he is in front of at the time, what it is they want to hear. pathetic.

That's just it - the seniors don't understand Obamacare and the ones I've talked to have no interest to. Their blind faith in Obama is mind-boggling... a good example of that is one 77 yr old liberal just sits there w/a blank look on her face when I've told her that he took $716 BILLION from medicare to pay for Obamacare....

She's not senile. I can have good conversations w/her until it comes to Obama, then she goes brain-dead...... she would fit right in w/AARP seniors booing Ryan when he tried to explain Obamacare to them......

It has already been collected. "What if", and all that. Meanwhile the voucehr allows seniors to CHOOSE where to spend up to $8000 in health/wellness care. Costs above that are covered by Medicare, same as always.

AARP is doing nothing more than trying to line its own pockets...as usual.
