I actually agree with you. We need to make some serious cuts, and the Republicans only want to cut a few programs Democrats like, and a little pin prik for medicare, and everyone is coming unglued......but it's a step in the right direction. What we need to happen, is to have both parties "want" to make the cuts, AND, the American people need to be united in that desire, AND, massive cuts need to come from social security, medicare, and defense. It is pretty disgraceful that some Democrats are sitting back watching Romney and Ryan's campaign disintegrate, because Romney and Ryan have broached the subject of making big cuts, and all the while being fully aware that the cuts need to be made someday.
That's really not how that works. The 700 billion is the amount of money they won't be paying to Doctors and hospitals for claims. It's not like the 700 billion reduces benefits for seniors. FYI....I work for a medicare advantage insurer.
Wonderful cartoon. Change that blimp from Iraq into Libya, put Obama at the podium patting himself on the back instead of Bush and you have an exact replica of where we are today under The Lightworker.
Wrong vernacular. Chamber of Commerce and NRA are tax-payers. Diehard AARP are moochers. Do you get it now ? AARP may be made up of senior citizens, but does not represent the majority of such. I am a member, but their politics suck. Kudos to Ryan. The young lad schooled those parasites.
Yeah. Right. And we watch more and more practitioners drop from the system. And you want us to pretend that old folks won't be treated more as cattle ? Further, why don't you acknowledge the "Doc Fix" ? Which now will only grow ? Obama just pulled a stunt to make Obamacare appear cheaper.
My company hasn't lost medicare providers, in fact, we have more network providers who signed contracts for 2013 than we did in 2012. Have you seen fewer doctors in your area for medicare? Also...don't complain one bit to me about being on medicare. I am paying taxes for medicare right now, and they won't be there for me when I retire in 17 years. In fact, by then, I'll probably be working till the day I die. I don't have any idea about how this makes Obamacare look cheaper.
The Repubs have plainly stated that they will screw 50 million citizens out of health care coverage if they are elected. So if any of those 50 million people vote for the Repubs they are cutting their own throats. And if any people who have family members covered under the plan vote Repub they are tinkling in the faces of their family members. It's going to be very revealing to see how many dummies there are in America come election time. When they end up without anything we will see how long it takes for them to riot.
Why do you want your older relatives, friends, and neighbors to starve to death and to go without any health care? What do you get from that situation? Cutting those programs mean that millions of people will go hungry. They won't have the means to put a roof over their heads or to take care of themselves when they get sick. Is that that kind of country you want to live in? Why is that type of society so appealing to you?
Yeh, except you know what I mean. We pay into something (my generation and the ones beneath me are now paying the baby boomers) to get less of something back. Why not just not pay into it and take care of yourself?
Take care of yourself? What? How are we to live without government's good graces? Aren't we all "Julia"? Oh and don't forget, according to the Democrat message at the convention, we all belong to government. We should just lay down on our back and let government do whatever they want to us. But hey, don't worry, they're going after some rich guy, not you. You'll be fine. Trust me, I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
I just don't understand why it is so hard to explain to people the obscenity of handing over your money to the government to get back crappy services rather than keep your money and get the service you want?
