Not at all. I fought for that freedom for 15 years. People should be able to practice whatever faith the feel is right. However, It is silly to hear Chrsitians complaining about being persecuted when they persecute themsleves and any non-believer. Your religious freedom ends when it infringes on the rights of others.
I think it is a good experience for a child to learn to seek the truth on their own - without Santa, there would be no Christmas
Why would we ever need to ban it when half the people who call themselves Christian are so ignorant of their own teachings, they only know the commercial version of this story as told in cartoon form.
You don't have a very high opinion of God if you think that he can be eliminated by the banning of a few nativity scenes.
You're saying that you think the US Congress will pass a law banning Christianity, and the President will sign it, and the Supreme Court will uphold it? You can't be serious.
nope... not legally on paper. but yeah systematically banning religion in schools, removing it from public, removing it from television. all efforts to minimize christianity until it is virtually non existent.
You're saying that God isn't big enough to handle it. As a Bible-believing, born-again Christian, I have to disagree.
God is big enough to handle it.... people have free will though, you choose to worship God. if men want to stop worshiping God then thats whats going to happen. God wont be getting involved he could care less about the people who betray him
I doubt most Christians or most religious people in America would disagree with you up until this point. Really the only controversial thing you've stated is the last sentence fo your post. I also don't see how any of it contradicts the point he's making...Making unfounded assumptions about someone based on how they generalize catagorize themselves is pretty dumb...not to mention arrogant.
god gave people free will for a reason. you make your own choices, yet you also suffer the consequences
I don't think the guy you were previously engaged in conversation with in this thread would NOT disagree with that.
I'm not a guy and yes, I do believe God gave us free will, and when we don't use it wisely we suffer the consequences.
Mohammed died in 632 AD. This means Islam was only about 400 years old, not 1400 years old in the 11th century. And contrary to your beliefs, many of those years were peaceful between Christians, Muslims, and Jews.
Government schools, give me an example of a legitimate group trying to ban private religious schools. Public places as in government owned, give me an example of a legitimate group trying to ban private religious practice. There is more religion on TV than every before but give me an example of a legitimate group demanding all religious broadcast be banned. So you have difficulty distinguishing between government and private I see.
