men build muscle better than women he has already built a muscle base and he wouldn't lose that through castration he only needs to train to maintain that initial muscle/strength advantage, it would be like a women taking testosterone injections to build muscle mass then quitting once she has gained the advantage...the sport can do it what it likes but physically it's unfair...
Since that's not actually a woman, wouldn't it be you who'd be cheering 'shim' (as liberalminority says )? But on this particular subject, it doesn't bother me to see a tranny fighting women, as I wouldn't care if women and men were allowed to compete against one another in mainstream mma events... provided that everyone was aware that 'shim' was not actually a woman... not that it'd be difficult to tell in this instance!
Like I said, I enjoy watching the best in the world, so the tranny/women's division is not for me. In my eyes, I don't enjoy seeing a man fight a woman. Seeing a man KO a woman gives me a sick feeling. - - - Updated - - - Like I said, I enjoy watching the best in the world, so the tranny/women's division is not for me. I say equal rights for all. If the tranny wants to fight males or females, s/he should be given the right to do so. There's no room for prejudice as far as I'm concerned.
Call me old fashioned. I've never been fond of men beating the hell out of women, reguardless of the forum.
The law says the athlete is female and meets licensing requirements to engage in the sports. Therefore, I am satisfied that there is no advantage to the competitor.
She was granted a liscense without informing the Florida athletic commission (s)he was born a man. It came out after his last fight that he was born male, and Florida has since suspended his liscense and reviewing his application. He is not liscensed in any other state. He applied for a liscense in California, which has not been granted to him. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Fedor Emelianenko vs Hong Man Choi
Damn... could you image having that dudes weight crushing down on you? I'd be gassed in less than a minute. Doesn't look like he was very well trained though, Fedor got those armbars pretty easily.
According to this news blurb which was published yesterday the fight is still on: http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2013/3/1...llon-fox-fighting-including-her-next-opponent "Fox's next opponent Allanna Jones is against it but still stepping up to face Fox." Sorry to burst your bigoted bubble but the open minded win, again.
Oh boy, I'm dealing with someone who has reading comprehension issues. I'll hold your hand and walk you through this. You article says nothing about him being granted a license to fight in Florida again, it only implies the promoter of the event has not scrapped the fight from the card, which is completly irrevelant. As of right now, 10 AM EST on Sunday morning, she has not received a license to fight again as a woman in Florida. If you can find one article that counters that statement, please post it, because I've yet to see it. Again, as of right now, she is NOT licensed to fight anywhere in the United States.
Looks like a lot of folks are pissed about GSP's 'lay and pray' style. A lot of angry Diaz fans across the interwebs today
Knuckle dragging MMA fans. Diaz is amazing off his back, and still won't even threaten GSP with his BJJ, because GSP isn't LnP'ing, he is fighting for hip position.(This is why A. Silva will have a hell of a time if GSP can take him down) GSP isn't like Jake Shields, he may fight for position most of the round, but he also takes chances to improve his position.
There's a protocol in the fight world where once you give your word you keep it. If you knew anything at all about that you would have known about this protocol. Fallon's opponent has given her word she will accept the fight. Therefore, it will be done whether in Florida or elsewhere. We are still awaiting word about California where it is said that their CSAC director is certain licensure will be granted. And if it isn't I'll bet some European promoters will gladly stage the fight. By the way, in Southern Asia, transgender is recognized as a valid gender identity. Therefore, I would not be surprised if the fight was staged there on the unlikely basis that it couldn't be done in the USA or in Europe.
Here's GSP and Diaz. Man, I really hope to see Silva and GSP fight before one of them retires. My betting half leans towards Silva, but it really could go either way.
The next fight I am really looking forward to is Aldo vs. Pettis. I think Also may finally meet his match... but there is no way I am 100% on this one. Sonnen vs. Jones seems silly as Jones should destroy Chael, but both are always fun to watch. I can't wait to see Hendricks vs. GSP, because I don't think GSP can hold down a 2 time NCAA Champion and 4 time All American.
Good question about Hendricks and GSP. You also have to wonder how well GSP can defend himself against Hendricks takedowns. Much better than Condit did I would imagine , but it still wouldn't be a walk in the park. It would be a good fight, especially if Hendricks works on making his striking more dynamic. I think Chael has a pretty fair shot against Jones, provided he's not crazy enough to try to bang it out with him.
Well... here is a highlight video of my 10 year old. He should get his BJJ yellow belt in a few months. He chose the music. I did the crappy film work. It was a school project to show a talent... he has no bully issues.
