I'll be damned, Silva is human after all. Of course lots of folks think it was rigged or that Silva simply passed the torch. Looks like the GSP/Silva match probably won't ever happen.

I love it when I'm right. I also love when someone starts clowning around in a fight and gets their head knocked off.

That's the odd thing about Silva. He seems like such a humble guy, but then starts showboating the way he does. I was pretty turned off by how arrogant he acted during the Bonnar fight.

Ah well, looks like it bit him in the rear this time around.

Wow, now that I've had some time to reflect on it, this is the way I see things.

Chris Weidman is a pretty clear cut number two in the middleweight division. Anderson is on such a level that he got away with clowning the rest of the competition, but someone was finally good enough to make him pay. Kudos to Weidman.

This was starting to resemble Silva/Sonnen 2 to a T, and then Anderson overplayed his hand and got cocky. Weidman was slowing down, Anderson was stuffing takedowns, but Anderson really was clowning on a level only rivaled by his fight with Maia, and Weidman clipped that chin.

I would love to see a rematch with Anderson taking Weidman seriously with a legitimate training camp and no clowning come fight time.

Still kudos to Weidman for making Anderson pay for his antics, something no one else has ever done.

I honestly think he clowns because he's on such a level that no one can touch him. The things he's done to high level guys, including a former champ in a higher weight class, are ridiculous. Someone was good enough to FINALLY make him pay.

If Anderson doesn't retire, I think this is a good think for him. Might give him some fire back, and it will make him think twice before taking someone that legitimate that lightly.

    LOL.

Anderson lost the first round, and that TD in the first from Weidman was effortless. In the second round he goes back to his little antics of trying to counter with his hands down and gets put to sleep, and somehow after watching that you still have Anderson ahead of Weidman?! Weidman beats Silva 4 out of 5 times, guaranteed. Though after the fight, it doesn't sound like Anderson wants any part of another Weidman fight, and he still has 10 fights on his contract.

It looked like a repeat of Silva/Sonnen 2 until Anderson got clipped. Lutter also had top control in their fight, so getting Andy down doesn't mean too much imo. It's the KO that was surprising, and he brought that on himself. Their is baiting someone, and then their is what Anderson pulled yesterday.

I think Anderson has been complacent for a long time. I think this loss is good for him. I'm pretty sure their will be a rematch, and if so, I think a lot of questions will be answered.

It's interesting how much longer Klitschko brothers will reign at heavyweight division?

My son earned his yellow belt (Jujitsu) this weekend.

His medal count to get there is: 2 Gold, 3 Silver, 5 Bronze.

It was a 2 year journey, but that is normal in BJJ.

That's true. Belt promotions are hard earned in BJJ.

It blew my mind. I am a big Sonnen fan, but really like Shogun who is a class act and a beast. Sonnen played it exactly right. Get in tight, force the grapple and pull the Guillotine Sub with 30 seconds left so if he misses it he still wins the round and does not take big GnP.

That was an amazing tactical fight by Sonnen.

Sonnen is a monster. I think he should go back down to middleweight, him vs Vitor or Weidman would be sick.

I want to see Sonnen wreck Wanderlei Silva. It sounds like Silva wants big money to fight Sonnen though, and is asking the UFC for PPV points to fight Sonnen on a card where that fight won't even be the main event.

Both are what 36? And they're at different stages of their careers. Sonnen is still a top guy at MW and LHW, and should be fighting top guys. Wandy should be fighting fun brawls like he has vs Leben and Stann.

Sonnen would run through Wanderlei at this point.

There is no doubt Sonnen would maul Silva. Sonnen however isn't going to be getting a title shot anytime soon though, and a fight against Silva offers both men a shot a making more money than other potential match ups. Silva seems to want the fight as well, in reguards to his YouTube video ranting about Sonnen.

Anthony Pettis......just wow. I did not see that coming, I figured Benson would wrestle him to a decision like Guida did. Good stuff, guy is legit.

And Frank Mir needs to figure out how to either fight off the cage, or not get put on the cage, because I swear half of his losses have come via getting beat up on the cage.

Gustaffson vs Jones was an amazing fight. I thought the Mauler won rounds 1, 2, and 3, but man, it was so close that I can't complain that it went the other way. Instant rematch please.

The fight Klitschko vs Povetkin will take place in Moscow on the 5th of October. How do you think is there a possibility that Povetkin can stop Klitschko’s reign at heavyweight division?
Though Povetkin has a good potential I venture to suggest that Klitschko will win on points or win by KO/TKO in final rounds.

Klitschko won on points. Unfortunately it was a bit tiresome.
