No, all Americans. How many were lost in those attacks?

Also, how many times did the Bush administration blame it on some silly youtube video?

    And is a partial sampling:

February 28, 2003. Islamabad, Pakistan. Several gunmen fire upon the U.S. Embassy. Two people are killed.

May 12, 2003. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Armed al Qaeda terrorists storm the diplomatic compound, killing 36 people including nine Americans. The assailants committed suicide by detonating a truck bomb.

July 30, 2004. Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A suicide bomber from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan attacks the U.S. Embassy, killing two people.

December 6, 2004. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al Qaeda terrorists storm the U.S. Consulate and occupy the perimeter wall. Nine people are killed.

March 2, 2006. Karachi, Pakistan again. Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. (I wonder if Lindsey Graham or Fox News would even recognize the name "David Foy." This is the third Karachi terrorist attack in four years on what's considered American soil.)

September 12, 2006. Damascus, Syria. Four armed gunmen shouting "Allahu akbar" storm the U.S. Embassy using grenades, automatic weapons, a car bomb and a truck bomb. Four people are killed, 13 are wounded.

Not that I don't think that this means that Benghazi doesn't warrent investigation.

I just wonder why Benghazi and none of these other attacks....

If you read the article or did the research you would know....

What did the Bush administration blame the attacks on?

The attack itself isn't the issue. Its the apparent cover up, the incompetence, the fact that it looks like the men were needlessly killed, counter-terrorism forces were told to stand down and to top it off....the admin at the get go lied about what it was and tried to place blame on a video in order to keep with the narrative that Obama won over terrorism.

Letting people die by withholding support for political reasons .... aught to outrage all political parties and ideologies.

How many times did Bush deny military assistance to Americans under attact by terrorist?

How many times did Bush go to bed while an American Embassy was being attacked by terrorist.

Let's have some intellectual honesty. Is that possible from a conservative?

    See the trouble with that is, these accusations are so very foul on a number of points;

The cover up is a figment.

There was a clear element of over exposure but that doesnt mean the men were needlessly killed.

There was no stand down order in the face of peril. What could be done was being done. The difference is that n this case it was the CIA who were able to get there first.

The attack was indirectly related to the video. It was used as a pretext.

More generally the fact that after so many many mess ups of huge magnitude over nearly a decade the GOP and people on the right have the temerity to besmirch people who were trying their best is a disgrace that you and your fellow travellers should be ashamed of. I suppose it takes a european to call out the right wing for the national disgraces tha they are - or may be the American left is just bored and bemused with it all.

I knew Liberals were easily brainwashed but Ive never seen anything like this ever. If you cant see what happened in benghazi then you are seriously seriously biased by ideology. If you dont care that four people died for no reason other than Obama didnt want to lose a few votes due to his failed foreign policy, well, its pretty disgusting. It makes my skin crawl that these people walk amongst us.

Lets start with that. The video had nothing to do with it. It was not used as a pretext. Our enemies weren't aware of the video until our President brought it up. There was no protest at all. That's been verified. Al Queda don't need video excuses to attack an ambassy.

Protecting the president is the goal of the media, and the goal of liberal posters. But if people died because of incompetence and political agenda----anybody should be interested in knowing.

Indeed, I felt the same way about US right wing types when so many US, coalition and civilians died in the last decade. Though Ive got over it, it makes me laugh at your pretensions of moral rectitudeover a mere four . You cut a ridiculous figure every time a right wing type voices his filth or puts his bile into a sentence.

That clear enough for you? Do you think we both understand each other now?

I agree. I believe that all attacks should be looked into, regardless whose President. I think it's BS that both parties are playing politics when it should be the last thing anyone should be concerned about. Even watching the latest hearing, it was all a bunch of political points that they felt like making. One point Democrats couldn't speak to a witness, another point Republican using it as a political push, it's all insane.

Just find out what happened in all of these, who cares what party is in office? I'm fairly certain those families who lost their loved ones would want to know why their family members were killed and by whom. Just like I would imagine anyone who lost their loved ones, at home, would want the same thing. Why does it have to be different when it comes to politics?

    Exactly.

I want the facts to come out- not political posturing.

Not only for the families of the deceased, but so that we can learn from our mistakes.

Im not the one supporting the cover up of the deaths of four americans you are. Whats filthy about me wanting to find out how this happened so we can make sure it doesnt happen again.
Secondly, not sure what US, Coalition and "civilians" you are talking about. Surely you cant be talking about the IRAQ war because everyone knows the dems were the ones who helped bring it to fruition by voting for it. I didnt see your hatred of your left wing heroes who made that war happen? Shall I post their names or do you not want to see them?
Lastly explain whats bile and filthy about getting to the bottom of why four Americans died for no reason? The only thing bile hurlingly filthy is someone who sticks up for someone at any cost due to political ideology even when they let people die for votes.

Funny that you say 'we can learn from our mistakes'. One of the points made, by one of the committee members, 3 things were noted during another attack during Clinton's administration. His Presidency, Bush's Presidency, & Obama's Presidency, the same 3 things could be applied to the Benghazi issue. Not trying to pin point one thing or the other but the fact remains that they only care if it allows them to push their own political agenda.

If it doesn't garner votes, they don't care. Sad...

The politcal posturing could end right now. All that has to happen is Obama to tell us exactly what he did that night and why. The reason we have political posturing is because we have to because he is refusing to tell us. The only thing we know for certain is he lied about it being caused by a video and so did Hillary. So much for a transparent Administration.

No your supporting the clear GOP chicanery of claiming cover up. You already know how this happened, but now you think youve got a sniff of great moral failings by people high in the admin. You only smell your own desperation.

Uh yeah the Iraq war. The one the dems (post if you must) were bluffed into as much as any other american because, being patriots they trusted the administration - you wouldnt know much about that would you? Or were you so hard bitten by the Bush admin that now youre super suspicious?

And yeah, people dying for votes, like US soldiers 'protecting American soil' in Baghdad. That sound about right?

Show us any other example of the POTUS, the Sec'y of State and the UN Sec'y colluding to prevent military assistance being sent to rescue a US Consulate under attack by Islamic radicals on the anniversary of the worst attack on America since 1941 by Islamic radicals in order to help assure the President's re-election bid and then knowingly lie to the American people repeatedly, after the fact, to cover up the misdeed which killed four brave Americans, including an Ambassador.

Anyone trying to play the tit-for-tat game here is treading on thin ground.

There is NO precedent for this kind of disgraceful behavior in American political history.

I did the research and clearly understand the difference....

Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were Americans killed in a prolonged assault by terrorists while their Government sat on their brains figuring out a way to keep the American People from knowing about it until after the presidential election.

Similarities? I know... none of them happened in Kansas.

The only person who could issue a 'stand down' order was Obama. And he gave the order twice during the attack.
