She was fired because the Food Network is concerned she is involved in doing something racist NOW, and along with that is completely unapologetic about her racist past, leaving the Food Network losing its minority watchers, along with the people of all races who do not support racists.

Her attitude is also indicating that even with 60 years of life experience, she has learned nothing.

that's how my former co-worker understood it, and it's more offensive than the guy that use to crack the whip. dam! that's even worse! being reminded of when "my" people owned other people. that's gotta sting to someone that gives a (*)(*)(*)(*).

No! She screwed up and the network has the right to fire her. The left gets their panties in a bunch over these sorts of things. I think you're confused. Reverse the situation and a black Chef made an offhand comment about someone white, like cracker or honkey and be GUARANTEED, there would not have been any firings. They just would have laughed and said, "you're so funny, whoops" and it would've been buried. If it wasn't on camera, no one would even know about it.

Okey Dokey now that that's settled { what " cracker " means } then what does
the now dreaded " N " word mean. The one Breitbart went from $ 10,000 to
$100,ooo in payment for one video or taped recording where the word
supposedly was hurled over a dozen times at Black Caucus members the day
before the ObamaCare vote was set to take place.

Surely not " (N)(i)(*)(*)(a)rdly " or to be stingy.

" It had not been our way to build great fires; we were, indeed,by the captain's
orders, somewhat (n)(*)(g)(*g)(*)rdly of firewood, and I began to fear that something was
wrong while I was absent. "
-- Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson

" Nature had been (n)(*)(g)(*)(*)rdly with him. "
-- White Fang by Jack London

Kind of strange she is an Obama supporter, voted for him... campaigning on his behalf in 2008 and cultivating a friendship with first lady Michelle Obama.

So then yer entirely on board with a Word Police. That is censorship and leads
towards what Ray Bradbury cautioned against in - Farenheit 451 - where a Society
is so under the thumb of Big Brother both watching one's every move as well
controlling every aspect of their life, that one's Soul and emotions become vapid.
    People are converted into automatons.

the second version about cracking the whip is where the term came from. and it is very offensive because when blacks use the word cracker, they are calling all white people crackers.

nobody alive today had a thing to to with owning slaves or being one, so the term of cracker shouldnt even apply to todays white people, of which very few percentage of them even have ancestors who owned slaves.

on another note, i do laugh at the square, flat and white version.... its actually funny. but then you could always come back with "then why do black men want all the white women??? " lol.

    - - - Updated - - -

was a term used to describe slave owners who whipped slaves basically. labeled after the crack of the whip.

the term has nothing to do with the color of a persons skin, but now days is used to describe white people.

Don't forghet what happened to Oprah.Oprah sat down and interviewed then
candidate Obama and directly afterwards claimed she will no longer hold
political interviews. That meant No Hillary and no Sarah Palin.
That so teed off her audience, they eventually { took a little while } abandoned
Miss O. Then after Obama won the Presidency it wasn't long before Michelle
    O secretly applied a ban to Oprah.The scuttlebutt { turned out to be true }
was that Michelle Obama felt highly threatened by the presence of Oprah
around her hubby that she made sure Oprah was not allowed to visit the
White House under any condition.Word eventually got out and Oprah was
devastated.Oprah sacrificed and eventually folded her show because she lost
many of her diehard female fans { fans who wanted to see Oprah interview Hillary as
a candidate }.of course the Kitty Kelley { Oprah Bio } tell-all book about Oprah
was also devastating. It picked apart the REAL Oprah. The one who accussed an uncle
of raping her.How she stole jewelry from her mom's purse to pawn.
How she was heard saying before she became a national name that " I want
    to be very,very,very Rich !!! ".
She was a more than just some little rascal in her youth. She was a conniver.

We say dumb things all the time, and its ok, unless.........( and I leave it at that).

What I wonder about are all the " oh I so love you Paula" " you are the best" "make more money for us" people. Will they drop her like a hot potato or will they see this for what it is and love her anyway?
I quit watching her shows when she made nice with that nasty, loud mouthed Rosie O'Donnell ( my problem, not hers).
However, its my opinion that Paula is a loving and honest person, too honest and straight forward for her own good.
Compare her with the two faced and hypocritical PC crowd, I choose Paula any day.

How's about that thar alternate theory. That " cracker " or the term derives from
cracked kernels of corn, which formed the staple food of a poor class of folk,
    predominantely the south.
Of course Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reid tried endlessly to usurp the word
into " Gator ". Everything southern is a Gator.
hay Gator.Whadya know about that Gator.Well ya know what gator says.

lol never heard the word "Gator" used like that at all in the south. but the term of Cracker first derived straight from the mouths of slaves to describe those who whipped them.

Yeah, it was called Two Fat Ladies. They ate a lot of bacon and loved their iron horse. Was a really good show, back when Food Network was serious about giving people entertaining education.

White Lightening has been replaced by Meth. No more running fun, now it's kitchen explosions and shooting cops in the face if they get too close.

the word " Gator ". Especially in the south.Burt Reynolds and " Gator "
    were more poplar than Dorito's

A Gator was a southern cracker with a stud complex.Fast cars and
    chasin' chicks and wearin a hat { usually a ball cap }. They { Gator's } were
purposefully Obvious. What loathed Mickey Rourke in - Barfly -.
I knew and hung around a Gator in the late 70's early 80's.The guy
actually lived to be like Burt Reynolds.I thought it kinda tacky, but hay the Chicks
dug it.That's what matters most to a guy in his 20's.
