I think they will taake at least a day or so, just for appearance sake. There isn't any evidence to support a guilty verdict.

I agree. But the overwhelming majority of self defense issues don't involve a individual chasing someone in a public area.

If I can't punch, throw, wrap or kick someone off me that is smaller than me then I am rolling on to my belly using my uper body strength and legs to push up to get back onto my feet. It also gives you the opportunity to run if needed.
If Zimmerman was being punched, Martin had cat paws and showed no capabiliy of doing any real damage. If he were in a fight with a mature male like myself, he would have had a broken jaw, missing teath, swollen eyes, etc
Grown men don't fight, we are too strong and too powerful to not cause major damage to each other. Especially when we cross the 190 pound threshhold of force behind the punch.

I'm not. The liberal media will systematically crucify each and every one of them if they come back too quickly. Remember, this is just a show trial after all.

No worries, this could go on for days. This is a big case. The jury knows a lot of people are watching. I suspect they want to be very thorough. That said, I am more than willing to help comfort you in any way possible.

Ironically neither did this one. He was merely observing him, not chasing. Get up to speed on the facts

Great ... in a state that prides itself in shooting anyone that causes you paranoia.

Maybe. But it is pretty clear cut. You either look at just the end of the fight or all the actions that led to it. Zimmy should have taken the stand. He could have put the jury in his shoes. By of course that would have set him up for real questioning by the state...

You could buy me some new nails. I have chewed them all off- I have already planned the celebration dinner tonight and the jury needs to come back by 4:30 so my plans won't be ruined.

What evidence disproves it? It was a routine chore for him. As the defense noted in case you mentioned it the prosecution presented NO evidence he "patrolled" the neighborhood, not one witness testified to him doing so or acting like the "cop wannabe" they tried to protray him as, in fact that was nothing but a baseless assertion the prosecution entered without a shred of evidence to support it.

From the defense point of view, that would have been extremely risky, and as you said it opens him up for some hard questions from the state.

With all of the time elapsed and a prosecution willing to look for anything to trip him up, it is always a bad idea for the defendant to take a stand in a case like this. The prosecution would have kept him on the stand longer than they kept Dee Dee.

It just wasn't necessary. The state failed miserably to present an actionable case!

So Z was just defending himself because he saw a black guy in "his" area while on Slave Patrol?

No, he was defending himself from imminent bodily harm.
