As for Syrians getting organized, decent people in Syria have no choice but to stick with their legitimate government. Radical Muslims prevailed and the secular force within opposition forces is nowhere to be seen. Radical Muslims run the show. Raqa is the template of what is going to happen to Syria if Takfiris/Wahabis prevail. You fail to understand that this fight is not about Assad, this fight is about survival.

The folks in Washington have repeatedly stated over & over again that boots will never touch Syrian soil, and the reason why they are taking so much time to come to a decision (unlike President Bush) is that they actually "do" realize how much of a cluster phuck Syria is right now.

They actually “do” realize that it’s almost impossible to know how to tell the good guys from the bad being that the Al Qaeda has done such a magnificent job of infiltration (thanks largely in part to Saudi money). They actually "do" know all of the ramifications if they strike and they actually “do” know how difficult this entire situation is.

But seeing 400 dead children laid out wrapped up in blankets because "somebody" gassed them seems to be keeping the president up at night. (horrible guy huhh?)

You see, "this” is what intelligence, patience, and rationality looks like in case you were a little confused on the point.

While you, these whiner service members, and many others are all complaining about what's going to happen in Syria, while NONE OF YOU HAVE THE FAINTEST IDEA WHAT WE’RE GOING TO DO YET, I would suggest a large dose of "calm down" is in order here until this thing gets sorted out.

I hate war, I hate the fact that we ever went into Iraq or Afghanistan, and I hate the thought of sending missiles anywhere…..but I happen to hate even more seeing these people get slaughtered on a daily basis and cooler heads need to prevail here.

 

We had a working plan and it was working....supplying the actual SYRIAN rebels with Russian Made weapons.

Assad has more popular support in Syria than anyone else. He is a legitimate leader. The only reason he is still in power is because Syrians want him regardless of their faith. Many western politicians can only dream about the support he has. Assad is far more legitimate then, let's say Cameron and Hollande who do not have popular support, Without Sunni support the legitimate Syrian government would not be able to hold on for almost three years. They defied all odds and I admire Syrian people for their defiance and resilience.

This x 100. I am sorry for the suffering of your people. I contacted my congressmen and told them to vote against military intervention in Syria. Pope Francis has called us Catholics and the whole world to join together tomorrow in fasting and prayer for Syria. He has also been very outspoken in his opposition of war in Syria.

 

It is clear that these last two administrations especially want to destabilize the Middle East, but I am not sure what the end game is?

Assad and his Family is Alawite....a subsect of Shiite or Shia. Alawites comprise about 22% of the 25% of Shiites in Syria.

Sunni's comprise over 75% of the Syrian Population and the rest are other such as Christians and etc.

Now Assad like his father is an absolute BRUTAL DICTATOR and both have the deaths of over 100,000 Sunni's on their hands.

Assad only holds on to power in Syria by FORCE....Military Force.

I did not advocate the coming U.S. Strike upon Syria but believe me....IT IS COMING.

At this point Syrian's such as Syrian Girl as she seems to be somewhat educated...although she is a bit indoctrinated...should now be spending time organizing with other Syrians in order to make certain Sunni Extremists do not seize power.

A US bombing campaign will not be enough to oust the Assad regime, especially since Iran and Russia are pumping funds and arms into the Syrian government. Assad is curb stomping the US backed rebels right now. The only way that Assad goes is if America goes all in and, thank God, we won't. Not under this leadership and such widespread opposition.

80% of civilians are actually rebels in civilian clothes who died. If you were an opposition group, why in world would you count rebel casualties, just say they are civilians! Who the heck is verifying anything. It's not like rebels have actual lists of people who serve and strict monitoring of casualties!
