There are some tex/mesh mods that improve the games models a bit. Give them fingers and makes textures higher rez although still probably on 512 at most. Still, it did make the game look better.

I'm not really concerned about the graphics to much, just the playability of it. It's sure to be outdated but that doesn't mean I still can't enjoy it. My laptop is on it's last legs right now and everything skips and jumps. What I would like to do is get a computer soley for gaming but that is in no way a priority. Just a luxury that I can do without.

On my 2nd play-through of GTA V. The game is a masterpiece! The main story is a blast to play, the side missions are fun, and the world is HUGE. You can partake of at least a dozen leisure activities like golf, triathlon, scuba diving... etc.

Couple of friends raving about that game. Can't wait till it comes out for PC and I hope that this time they do a decent job of porting it...(looking at you GTA 4). In the mean time I will get Saints Row 4 as soon as that goes on sale which should be in a month or two.

Battlefield 4 beta mostly right now. This is what Battlefield 3 should have been. Its truly epic and an improvement in almost every way (except the upgrade system, the care package thing is BS).

If it's anything like any of the previous ones I highly doubt that - I can't see any of them getting more than a 5/10 rating on any major review sites - were it not that Rockstar Games is coincidentally pays for sponsorship/banner ads on all of said review sites - essentially it just "pays for good reviews" despite overall mediocre gameplay.

    Quantity over quality yeah

And I'd want to do that in a game called ''Grand Theft Auto"... why?

I quite like the Age of Kings... I like how you can choose different formations for you forces.

I like the English longbowmen the most, although I just discovered the Persian war elephants so I'm having loads of fun with them.

The GTA franchise has been continuously rolling back on game depth and open-ended fun since the San Andreas title, which is their best work and where the series peaked.

Saints Row picks up the slack.

I have beta access but I'm not going to play it till it's officially released. Glad to hear some good word on it though. I've been a Battlefield player since BF2(and really since the desert combat mod for BF1942 which is basically what turned into BF2).

Have you been able to test out the commander mode?

Not yet. It seems like the commander spots always filled. From what I have seen it doesn't seem to OP or underpowered, and it really adds some tactical flavor to the maps (commander can drop care packages and even launch missiles).

There is only one map available in Beta (shanghai) and only two modes (most people are playing conquest) right now. Hot damn its epic. I just hope taking down the skyscraper in the first two minutes doesn't become the norm for the next two years. When it falls dust settles all over everything on the map over the course of several minutes and all the colors get super grey and muted.

One thing I am cautiously exited about is the possible dinosaur DLC we might be getting about a year out. If you hang around the BF fan sites you will know a lot of people want to fight dinosaurs (me included). Sort of a step up from CoD's zombies. EA hasn't confirmed or denied anything on the subject aside from that their "looking into it". XD
Who doesn't want to take on a T-Rex in a tank?

The Shanghai map seems like a great "sniper's map".
Guys high up on roofs looking down at ya while you patiently wait for them to poke their heads up and shoot.
Great game, but as a big fan of BFBC2, I gave up quick on BF3. The mechanics, movement, browser play (PC), were just too different for me.
Couldn't get used to them and I am more of a level booster for all my enemies.
Playing BF4 now, while fun, is the same as BF3 and I will likely avoid it.
It's too bad because BC2 was my first experience with FPS and I loved it.

Playing Payday 2 now... what a great heist game.
Go in guns blazing to rob banks, or stealth to complete a whole mission without being noticed.
Standing in the street, back to back with your teammates, shooting wave after wave of good guys, whole the others are transporting duffel bags of good & cash...

sigh.... doesn't get any better than that.

Reload up the beta after a disappointing first run, and it plays much better. Still needs work (like key binding ) but its getting there.

Right now I'm playing Far Cry 3 and it's really easy.

Thinking of going back to Dark Souls (a hard video game).

Not sure if Dishonored is worth a 2nd play through, I like to shoot things.

Not a gamer myself, but I am having fun with MS Flight Simulator X. I don't know how realistic it really is, but it's amusing to compare how easy each plane is to crash from 10,000 feet.

Currently playing Hearts of Iron 3.

    Playing as Germany.

The stupid Allies declared war on me in 1938 over Czechoslovakia so I wasn't ready. Managed to still drive them from the continent but this made the USSR worried and they started mobilising in 1939 so I declared war on them, once again not ready, because if they mobilised I'd never get a chance to beat them. So now it's early 1942 and the Soviets are just east of the German border. It's not looking good but my forces are currently counter attacking and driving them back in a few places along the line. Just had about 15 infantry divisions finish training and sent them to the East so my current military strength in the East is slightly more than the Soviets........ but they have a lot more tank forces than I do.

The USA has just joined the war so there will probably be an invasion in the West before too long because I've only got about 100k troops defending all of France.

Pretty good. I only play the multiplayer mode though. A few of the maps aren't that great, and I think DICE somewhat abandoned the 360 and PS3 versions in favor of the XB1 and PS4 versions. All in all though, I'd say that the game is pretty good.

Cool, I've liked the BF franchise for awhile. I might check it out. I just hope my PC can run it though. But I can always upgrade...
