I'm not gong to start praising Obamacare just because it is 'at least not what we had before'. It's still BAD, the tradeoffs between now and what was there before basically make it moot. It doesn't provide enough of a benefit to be worth existing, it expands bureaucracy and red tape and lots and lots of money for very little gain. I say reboot and try something else.

I suspect there were fewer people paying for Health Insurance on 1/1/2014 than there was on 12/31/2013. With the higher premiums, you are probably right on a dollar basis

Let's see. The government has taken a large amount of money from me every month to fuel this Ponzi scheme for about 40 years. True. As a retired military officer I have been lied to. In a few years I will leave Tricare and move to Medicare. I despise my government because it has broken every promise it has ever made to me.
I have paid for Medicare for about 40 years. But I have never wanted it. And now I will be forced into it along with the drones who did nothing for their country.

And of course I will continue to pay and pay and pay.

First, those on their parents plans are not Obamacare enrolled, but then you're giving Obamacare credit for what it didn't do. Even before Obamacare, kids could stay on their parents' plans until 22 , so those numbers you give are seriously inflated. I'm not really going to go down line by line to show how those numbers are inflated or bs. Your opening statement, about the, "Total number of people who have coverage as a direct result of the ACA is 10,000,263" is just bs.

 

They never seem to grasp that truth. That when you go to the doctor or hospital before Obamacare, we were always mandated to pay extra for those who didn't or couldn't pay. The right has never understood that. Its like the brain never makes the connection with that reality.
