with billboards, magazines, tv, radio, on-line and other medium, do you really think the message of protected sex hasn't reached Hong Kong? Another question for you; if I think that I am a heart surgeon but never took a medical class , am I still a heart surgeon?
Another false equivalency. You're replacing something that's not a choice with something that is. What you should be asking is: If someone who's black thinks they're white, are they really white? No, because they are black. It's something they cannot choose to be. They can 'act white' (whatever that means in their world view) but they're still black.
skin color is easy to prove and you are born that way, without doubt and medically proven. Are you saying that without actually doing the schooling/residency that I am not in reality a heart surgeon?
I'm saying it's a false equivalency...again. You keep pushing this false position as if it's fact. You admitted yourself that it's an opinion. So you obviously cannot back up opinion with facts as opinions are brought forth by interpreting evidence. You've decided it's a choice. However, all evidence, which as I said, you should go collect evidence yourself by talking with gay people about their life and their 'choice' and look at their puzzled expression when you call it a choice. Just because science hasn't proven it yet doesn't mean it cannot be proven. However, for now, you'll have to take personal interaction and interviews you conduct yourself as evidence and I guarantee you no one made any choice other than realization they cannot change themselves.
and here again you continue the false narrative where your OPINION is a fact. By the way, I have you scheduled for a filling tomorrow at 10AM, please don't be late. Yes, I'm having a wee bit of fun poking you over your nonsensical and unprovable position. Why can't you simply admit that yours is nothing more than an opinion much like mine.
A creationist claiming evolution is an opinion is labeled a moron and rightly so. What should I call someone who thinks homosexuality is a choice? That's the real of discussion you drag this into constantly.
Instead of trying to choose to be gay, how about this easy one that involves no sex. Stop using your dominant hand. Everything you normally use your dominant hand for, including opening a door, using a computer mouse, writing/drawing, which hand you hold your silverware with when you eat, everything. Don't use your dominant hand. Btw, are you left handed?
I suppose that promiscuity is more prevalent among the homosexual crowd, and especially male homosexuals, than the hetero crowd. Men tend to be more horny and impulsive on average. There are exceptions, of course, but I think that's the general tendency. Then there's the fact that condoms are far less consequential to gay sex than to regular male-female intercourse, which of course would mean that those horny & impulsive gay guys would be more likely to go at it unprotected. They don't have unwanted pregnancies to worry about. So, it's not overly surprising if STDs are more of a problem among that group. Trouble is that horniness & impulsiveness are not easily overcome, and then you factor in the follies of youth, where sexual responsibility is even more likely to be cast aside for some wick-dipping fun on some wild evening, and you can see the scale of the problem. Smart people will avoid promiscuity and unprotected sex. The rest will get diseases... Ultimately that is their responsibility.
If you are going to talk about a study, you need to talk about all relevant factors and groups, not just one. - - - Updated - - - If you are going to talk about a study, you need to talk about all relevant factors and groups, not just one.
If you have sex, no matter who it is with or how, you are at risk for HIV. h BTW< that 2% demographic is for the United States, not Hong Kong.
Probably, however compare the size of those demographics in question and see how staggering those figures are. That 53% of infections is coming from what...3-5% of the population, or less? Wow. Thats an unhealthy lifestyle. If 53% of people who got cancer were smokers....people would put 2 and 2 together real fast.
the same question should be asked of you as well. What should we call someone who tries to claim a thing as fact when there is no medical test to confirm or deny said claim? Do you see how that works? Here's a hint, you've tried several angles and you have found that none will get me to insult you and with each angle, I can quickly dismiss you and expose your tactics and failed attempts. Give it up and move on to another poster.
Not sure you can do that...who wants to be looking for people doing that? Noone. However what this information should be doing is taking off the veil of "it's harmless, healthy and ok" that seems to be pushed these days in regards to this lifestyle. Obviously it's not any of those things. This information SHOULD temper the want to validate.
Of course not. people are going to do what they do. We as a society however should not be seeking to elevate all sexual behaviors to the same levels IMO. Some are simply unhealthy. let them do it of course if they wish....but dont validate it.
no no no.... claim that the study was homophobic and ignore the problem.... a tactic that has worked so well for African American crime rates
at some point someone needs to be the adult in the room. Sugar coating things for fear of upsetting homosexuals doesn't help them. It might get their votes but it does nothing to help them. It amazes me that the majority of homosexuals are leftists. I watch as leftists treat homosexuals like they can't handle truth or reality. That should be insulting to homosexuals.
People aren't validating anal sex. They're validating gay relationships. Not all gay people have anal sex. Some are lesbians and don't really have the means. Others just aren't into it. But no one is going out there and saying hey we approve of your butt pillaging.
Gay relationships (Male)however have to rely on Anal Sex, and it's very unhealthy according to the stats. Shouldn't be something we validate here in the US, which is exactly what we are doing by legalizing and validating Gay marriage.
Except that it is healthy, harmless, and okay...as long as you aren't being an idiot running around having promiscuous unprotected sex. That's a general rule for everyone, not just gays.
truth doesn't win elections, and when you need a vote to keep your job.... pandering will happen. honest debate or education about the issue is immediately squashed with "homophobe/bigot" retorts, meanwhile, another generation is lost to a very preventable disease. Gays are the highest risk group for aids.... it's a cdc fact. so, what can be done about it? Heaven forbid we start a dialog about the culture which leads to thinking nothing is wrong/unsafe about anal sex without it being derailed into the difference between sex and sexuality, environment vs nature, etc it's the same for the #2 group according to CDC..... blacks. somehow it's racist to even point out they are the #2 group in HIV/AIDs cases
