and not just from Facebook, but from the democraticunderground.........
it is just unbelievable what they grope with, first this one accepts Facebook as the truth (obviously under-educated) and another stating that snopes never lies..what is it with these folks?
Whatever else happens, ignore the man behind the curtain.
Have you noticed I have yet to get a response from any of them about my simple math test? They don't want to deal with the reality of math

No name calling, just the truth. It is Obamacare, and he did lie about many aspects of it.

When an insurance company is being forced to cover more than was previously covered, prices go up. Simple economics.

Yes, I know that as well as you do. However IME with pigheaded people, I've found that it's best not to commit any of the same errors that they do. So even when I know that someone has nothing whatsoever to back up their argument, I believe that it's important to go through the motions, and give them every fair opportunity to prove their point or concede.

Those who choose to stand on the correct side of the facts can afford to be generous to those who, for whatever reason, have chosen the losing side. And in public places like this, where sore losers often do run to the moderators claiming to have been harmed, and more often than not are successful in getting revenge that way, it helps to be seen nowhere near the ones on the wrong side of the truth when their arguments do fall down. ;)

Calling the Affordable Care Act "Obamacare" is indeed name-calling. End of story.

Actually I believe I responded. Your math test was decimally incorrect. The point I think you were trying to make is that the number of uninsured has not changed although you might want to clarify. The main problem with this debate is that none of you opponents seem to have an alternative That will reduce the number of uninsured and the astronomical cost of health care in this country as opposed to most other developed countries.

I once posted that the citizens should not be responsible for this. If a really and truly effective practice put into place is to lean on the insurance industry, NOT demand that the people support such lavish expenses. I also stated that any and all illegals be booted from the system, entirely. Between botting the illegals, regulated the business end of the insurance, not the care. I would have been just fine kicking in an additional $100 dollars to medicare to offset those cost, not hold the entire nation hostage. A small increase in income tax would have handled those people just fine, but no-o-o-o-o-o we must insure the complete and total domination buy the insurance companies.
Let's see...another 1.7 trillion dollar start up cost for Obocare, 30 million still left uninsured today, and a tyrannical government that threatens to take away your freedom if you fail to comply, and those 45,000 people that died last year due to failure to have insurance is a mixed bag of information.
You tell us, how many of those people chose NOT to insure themselves? How many were illegals, how many of them wee junkyard dogs fromda hood that got shot up during a botched drug deal.....tell us, oh wise one, if 30 million were uninsured BEFORE this fiasco, and there's more than 30 million uninsured after the closing bell and connot buy insurance until th eend of the year, how is that more successful than what we had before? How many folks are going to die this year because they don't have insurance.
If one buys the cheapest health insurance with an astronomical deductible, how in the hell is that better? They spend anywhere from $61 a month for insurance with a $5,000 deductible that must be paid BEFORE their cheap insurance kicks in, how does that benefit them?
All of this is (healthcare) Hegelian Theory in practice.
Work harder, Boxer...............just so you can feed the beast even more

As always, the deluded right winger criticizes but offers no proof to refute the TRUTH of what I wrote. For him to say that 100% of people will die because of Obamacare is patently absurd. Sadly, none of the forum's right wingers has enough sense to even try to temper his anger filled silliness.

It remains the TRUTH that the deluded right wingers have lost every debate on this issue whereas we patriots have won every single debate. While they resort to endless emotionalism in their replies we reply with the TRUTH. This is why we win.

26 states and DC are on board and expanded Medicaid, they have enough votes in Congress to block a repeal if their representatives vote for their states so the fight is OVER. People need to focus on changes and reforms that's all your going to get. See 26 States is 52 Senate Seats and comparable numbers to at least be a challenge in the House, and more states will sign on to the Medicaid expansion at some point what choice do they have.

They don't they turn down billions of dollars, their citizens still pay all the fees and taxes and smaller lower wage employers may opt to set-up in states that are on board with the ACA that means more jobs lost to opt in states.

Even network and cable news does it. I think it is pretty benign. Don't get so upset about it. After all, it is Obama's disaster.

I'd rather have a team of different nursing specialists and others led by an MD to bring a variety of options to the table not just the judgment of one person, the CHC makes that standard.

Well speaking for myself when I left the corporate world I could not buy insurance at any price due to a preexisting condition. When I need major surgery went to India.

One of the main problems with the old system was that the uninsured are charged 4 to 5 times what the insurance companies paid for the same services. Mandating that everyone be charged the same could have helped this but the same people that opposed Obama Care would have called this price fixing.

One reason it is so lopsided is that 50% of money in healthcare comes from government price fixing which distorts the cost for others since nothing is free. Obamacare will bump that up to about 66%.

Polls Show Rising Acceptance for Obamacare

the majority of Americans say they are okay with businesses adding a nominal surcharge to each bill in order to help pay for their employees health coverage.

That’s according to a new survey from Bankrate.com, which found that 68 percent of those polled say they don’t mind paying a higher bill so businesses can provide their workers with insurance. Younger people especially seemed to approve of this approach—about 64 percent of 18-29 year olds ...

the survey’s findings are more good news for the White House—which has enjoyed a slew of recent polls suggesting that the public’s perception of the ACA is beginning to improve.

I do have an MD, a primary care DO (Doctor of Orthopedics) and can see several other specialists if the CHC system here has one. At a generous sliding fee scale rate.

Doctors are like mechanics. There are good and bad ones. If you ever get the lowdown on doctors from a nurse (they often will not talk) then you will hear the skinny on that. The nurses all referred to one doctor as the butcher.
