Would you have supported the Zionist thugs of the Stern gang and Irgun when they were murdering British citizens in Palestine and kidnapping and murdering British soldiers? Or were they simply concerned Jewish citizens, doing what they thought was right? In your opinion?
... but we also gave the Palestinians the same amount of money and they just dug tunnels and bought missiles...
How about the facts, that the Palestinians started a War after Britain gave them the option for a State when Israel was formed, and they lost. Now they want us to see they get the Jewish land (which was bought in the first place), and kick them out as if they won their war(s).
Israel has received 60% of the US Foreign Aid budget since 1948.. Did you really ASSUME that the Palestinians got that sort of money EVER???? Its irresponsible to pile assumptions on top of assumptions... unless of course, its a deliberate lie.
The British had PROMISED in the Balfour Letter to give the Jews from the Holocaust the lands they were waiting for since 1919. The Jews were just fighting a War with England the same way America did in 1776.
Do you even have a clue what the Balfour letter actually was? Have you read it? Do you know who Lord Balfour was or what he believed? Or, are you ASSUMING again?
Really? Why ? We need money here, in USA. We have to fix up highways, schools and protect the environment... We gave money even to Ukraine.
The Focus is on what Hamas started this time round.....What Hamas Initiated. What Hamas has been doing. More discovered and from Hamas members themselves. As usual.....Hamas doesn't like getting caught. They will need to back away from the camera as other News Agencies are about reporting it for the way it is......not the way Hamas interprets things. The US also needs to tell Qatar......their out of it. Done......no more talking from them and no more future negotiations with them. Take a seat at the back of the bus. Put on some headphone translators and Play Audience.
Rubbish, again! Can you show us where the Palestinians have been given $3 billion a year by America for decades? In 2010 America froze all aid to Palestine because they had the audacity to seek full statehood at the UN. Naturally Israel also froze aid and, like an obedient puppy, America did its master's bidding...
http://fas.org/sgp/crs/mideast/RS22967.pdf Since the establishment of limited Palestinian self-rule in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the mid-1990s, the U.S. government has committed approximately $5 billion in bilateral assistance to the Palestinians, who are among the world’s largest per capita recipients of international foreign aid. Successive Administrations have requested aid for the Palestinians in apparent support of at least three major U.S. policy priorities of interest to Congress: • Preventing terrorism against Israel from Hamas and other militant organizations. • Fostering stability, prosperity, and self-governance in the West Bank that inclines Palestinians toward peaceful coexistence with Israel and a “two-state solution.” • Meeting humanitarian needs. And these moneys were spent otherwise, even voting in HAMAS which is a terrorist organization that was to be opposed.
$5 billion over 20 years doesn't even come close to Israel's annual handout of over $3 billion of your tax dollars which they have frequently said they don't even need.
That's alright the Qatari have been trying to Brainwash Pelosi. As she stated Hamas was a Humanitarian Organization, yesterday. http://www.politicalforum.com/lates...y-pelosi-hamas-humanitarian-organization.html
He'll go away when his wife stops giving him his allowance. The richest politician is again saving the democratic hopefulls over a cliff with his thoughts of political grandeur. Typical wealthy democrat leader making sure his serfs stay at bay. He is and always will be a loser with or without the Heinz 57 fortune.
Thank you Yetzerhara for the excellent report, I would not change a single word. I am sure that a lot of fair minded readers will appreciate your researched input. Once again thank you for saving me time and energy retorting.
Probably not, but if Jews moved into Long Island and declared it a Jewish state, I doubt Americans would be anywhere near as patient as the Palestinians have been. Israel is an American client-state that wouldn't exist without America. I get to tell Israel what to do all day long. Best you remember that if you are a part of THIS country.
No one is asking the US to bow to Israel. But when it abandons Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Israel as allies in the Middle East as it has down and in fact bows down to Morsi in Egypt and Erdogan in Turkey or what it did to Putin in Syria to me that is bowing down. The US has the absolute right to criticize Israel. That is what strong allies do. What Kerry and Obama have done however is try pressure Israel by using threats of intidadas or boycotts. That is what Kerry said. It is a ludicrous way for an ally to talk to another ally. It is ludicrous for Kerry to dictate to Netanyahu anything. No one is asking him to bow to Netanyahu but to threaten him? To say, hey you stop shooting missiles or there will be a boycott? What does that mean? Its a pathetic veiled threat. It was as pathetic as the veiled threat given to Netanyahu in front of Abbas during talks about the West Bank. Neither Israel show bow to the US or vice versa. If you want to make such statements you go behind a closed door and make such frank references. You don't do it in public to deliberately undermine a leader. Eisenhower who Margot claims hated Israel had choice words over the Suez BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. Truman? First off he never referred to Jews in Israel as being abusers. In fact the comments he may have had about Israel which were negative and he fully admitted in his memoirs which Margot should read were done behind closed doors. Nixon? Everyone knew he was a raving anti-semite. He kept his comments behind closed doors. He also had the intelligence to delegate Israel to Kissinger precisely because of his prejudices. All leaders have disputes with one another. What we are talking about now is not bowing down but Kerry and Obama acting in clownish behaviour. In what they think is their effort to put Israel in its place they are making a fool of themselves in front of the Arab world. It started with Obama kissing the Saudi Arabian king's hand which sent a huge tidal wave through Arabia. He may as well have kissed his ass because that is what it meant. You want to talk bowing down, he sure as hell did. Then his sending an openly visible gay man to Libya in the middle of a heated civil war? Are you kidding? This sucking up to Morsi and Erdogan didn't just give netanyahu the finger but Greece, Egypt, Cyprus. Putin pounced on it and brought Saudi Arabia and Egypt back into its control for military supplies when both countries disgusted with Obama's sucking up to the Muslim Brotherhood abandoned him. You want to talk bowing down, explain what Obama and thta bafoon Kerry did in Syria then the Ukraine. They showed the world they were toothless and indecisive. Then we had the blow up between Vietnam and China over territorial waters and South Korea, Japan and Taiwan all loyal allies of the Us absolutely could not belief the silence of the US to China's invasion of Vietnam territorial waters. Obama and Kerry are a bust. The Palestinians are ignoring Kerry now and dealing directly with Egypt over how to end their idiotic attempt at ending the blockade. Israel does not want the US to agree with it. It doesn't need that. It needs a strong US acting as mediator. Eisenhower did not have to like Israel when he intervened in the Suez Canal crisis. He just had to act fairly which he did. Israel is not some weakling that needs yes men. It never has. It can not and will never depend on anyone but itself. Its great when it has allies like the US but it does not expect automatic agreement and never did. That makes no sense. US foreign interests and Israeli foreign interests can not be the same. They sometimes intersect with mutual interests but often they might not. Its life. As a Canadian we often have disputes with the US over free trade, fisheries, the environment, so what/ Good allies have disputes. Its nothing personal. Its life. Interests conflict. The difference is allies don't try destroy one another. If the US has a natural disaster or we have one in Canada, we have city trucks going to each other's ice storms to fix electric wires, and we help fight each other's forest fires, and rescue people at sea. Its what allies do. We don't have to agree all the time but we sure as hell have each other's backs in times of disaster. when New Orleans flooded, Canada sent some naval ships. We are tiny compared to the US Navy but it was symbolic. We had to have our military there as a sign of solidarity with the people. They thanked us genuinely and we sure as hell wanted to do it. When 9-11 happened Canadians went down to New York to take their vacations. We wanted to. We had to. The US has been that kind of ally to Israel. It doesn't bow down to Israel. Its people genuinely at the grass roots level have supported Israel. We jews never take that for granted. We don't see it as a carte blanche to do whatever Israel wants. Jewish Americans will and have criticized Israeli leaders. Netanyahu switched his position to supporting a two state solution not because of Obama or Kerry but very strong American supporters including both Democrat and Repubican Congressman and AIPAC the American Israeli Lobby that sided with the US Senators and Congressman on that not Israel. The US and Israel must have fights. Its good for both countries. That tension helps incite change. what I am criticizing is something else. I say to Americans no one expects you to do anything but what is in your country's best interests but yes my bias is you take a strong stand against the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization and terrorists across the world. By doing so yes we all have benefitted and I for one have bloody well appreciated it. I don't think the Obama approach of placating extremists works.
I'd be more interested in seeing the proof that Hamas started the conflict. Also, unless you consider every Palestinian a terrorist, don't refer to them as such. I hardly see any terrorists on the news. I see Palestinian citizens running around broken homes, schools, hospitals, and the like. Of course, the official reasoning behind this is that they all had terrorists in them. Of course...
The US gives 3 billion in aid every year to Israel. It gives Israel access to American culture and American politics. Any sort of "pressure" by government on Israel is superficial unless Israel conflicts with the greater goals of the US. The peace and welfare of Palestinian citizens are not in the interests of the US.
They are of no interest to many mainly Jewish American's and Jewish Israeli's who regard them as untermensch in the way Hitler regarded the Jews to be - filthy vermin and snakes.
First off if you had been reading.....I have said the Palestinians need to take Hamas out themselves. This would note that It is Hamas that I consider to be terrorists. Not other Palestinian People. How long have they been blowing off rockets this time.....who refused a ceasefire? Who was caught with supplies for an attack on a Jewish Holiday? Who was caught with over 1600 tunnels? Hamas.....Terrorists have no Rights.
This is no true. There are, even now, Jews marching in the street of our country and other countries protesting what is going on in Israel. This includes Israel, itself. There always have been, and increasingly so. These things are never really given coverage either. It's one of those slights that shows you how the media is trying to frame the situation. You'll notice how often they use terms like "the world community" when it's really only a handful of nations that support Israel. There are Jews who do support the state, obviously, like the suburban Israelites who are known to shoot down Palestinians or just raid their villages for some percieved slight. There is also a worldwide congregation of jewish lawyers, businesses, and the like who use their influence and resources to reinforce their agenda's while suppressing all anti-Israeli propaganda. It's important to make the distinction between Jews and the Israeli state and it's supporters. This is about power and Israel will deceive it's own citizens like any other country would in order to further their cause.
