they can ask you to leave if you start making political speaches, start praying on the floor, start congregating with friends without buying something, or insist on open-carrying an AK-47 rather than concealed-carrying a Glock.

You really don't get the point do you?

I didn't say they can't ban it, you said they "should" ban it. I 100% disagree with you and pointed out the hypocritical leftist position on what a private business can/can't and/or should do.

    That is not true.

Your favorite store will have their perennial correct Xmas sales. They will use your love of Christmas and sell you all kinds of crap...That is their job.

they have the right to ban behavior or personal items that they consider unsafe or intimidating to their customers.

    don't like it? shop elsewhere.

Why is it hypocritical to understand what the laws and the Constitution says pertaining to private business?

if I have a right to carry an AK-47 to 7-11, then I also have a right to hold a pro-Obama political rally in 7-11, or hold a Muslim prayer service in 7-11.

.....but we all know, I don't...due to private property rights.

Didn't read past the OP, but it's up to Kroger's to decide their store policies. If they want to risk lawsuits over accidental discharges or selling 5 cases of beer to some armed drunk who manages to shoot somebody in the parking lot over a parking space dispute or whatever, that's their own dumbassery and lookout. If it's a matter of trained employees armed for security of other employees and customers then no problem there, either. Many states already have laws and ordinances against customers carrying firearms into businesses that sell alcohol anyway, right to carry state or not.

The part that makes you think anyone must give up the exercising of their rights, in a law-abiding manner, because a bunch of people get hysterical at the sight of an object in the hands of someone that is not exhibiting one bit of aggression with that object.

Who causes the idea that people need to panic?

    Liberal talking heads, right?

    Who panics?

The people who are told what to believe, and believe it!

I doubt very seriously if anyone is going to carry an assault weapon to go grocery shopping. I mean really, why would anyone do such a thing? Eating an ice cream could do harm if the ice cream is dropped on the floor and someone slips down.

I respect the rights of responsible gun owners to own and enjoy their guns.

I do not respect the idea that this gives irresponsible jerks the right to wave their guns around and outright threaten others like thugs.

There is a difference and it is infinitely apparent.

So, I don't have a gun, but someone walks into the store with a gun on their shoulders. I decide to leave the store right away.

    And you call that panicking?

    I call it staying safe.

So I have to ask, what would you consider the difference between playing it safe and panicking?

If you dont support open carry because "it scares others", then you dont support the 2A.

    - - - Updated - - -

Why would you leave if the person is not acting in a menacing way.

    - - - Updated - - -

Please post a pic of open carriers "waving their guns around and outright threatening others".

Weather they are acting in a menacing way is a factor that I use to determine weather or not to leave, there are others.

What does the person look like? Do they look like they could be threatening or unstable?

What about the gun? How is the person handling it?

I mean, even the mere presense of the gun itself is a factor.

If you were not armed, and someone came into a store with a gun slung on their shoulders, would you not even feel any nervousness at all?

What would you consider to be taking precautions in this case? How about what you would consider over-reacting?

The quoted words above are not mine, nor did I ever say I didn't support open carry.

Reading comprehension takes practice... It'll come.

I can imagine rare cases where someone has just come from target practicing or something and stops on the way home, not wanting to leave it in the car. I think it's stupid to carry just to exercise rights, but liberals often exercise their rights just to (*)(*)(*)(*) people off too.
