Nervous no, because I am armed much of the time as well. But when was the last time a open carrier all of a sudden just became a mass killer for no reason.

    No nervousness at all? Okay.

And sure, it's not a common occurance.

And that is why I'm not trying to take guns away from people. If I was in that situation, I would mearly try to take myself out of the equation, by leaving the store and going to another. I wouldn't be running and screaming away or anything.

But you have to admit, that there ARE people that would panic if they were in my situation, and they may not react the same why I do. They have the same vote as you or I, and it is possible their numbers may be growing.

So, what do we do, if anything, to counter the possible fact they may try to further limit or ban your gun rights?

Neither do I, and I think it's rather abnormal. However, I would probably just laugh.

Am I to assume you believe in conformity?

That we all act and behave the same?

There is nothing you can do, the US has lost its back bone and nerve to stand for what is right. To stand for the constitution. We have become PC, neutered, scared of our shadow bed wetters. Every one thinks nothing is ever going to happen to them, until it does. Then its someone elses fault for not protecting them.

But what gives you the right to tell someone else that they cannot.

If your strapping an AR15 to your back and walking into a grocery store your only motivation is to make a statement and make others afraid of you like a common thug.

Private Property?....If a business notes a factor that is negatively effecting sales it has the responsibility and right to remedy the situation. If people carrying fire arms in the open within a store is driving away shoppers, they can simply forbid it. If people walking around barefoot are bad for business....they can require we wear shoes.

Yes, the business can. Apparently, they don't have very many people who frighten easily shopping there.

This just makes me crazy. Exercising a constitutional right is 'abnormal'. We have really become a progressive society.

Speaking strictly for myself, as a gun owner....considering the possibilities and inherent risk they entail. If I were shopping with my wife and granddaughter, and noted an individual carrying a fire arm in the open, I would immediately exit the establishment to avoid the risk to my family.

You may call it fear if you wish, I call it intelligent precaution.

It has never been established that one has the right to carry a firearm into a private establishment.

No one would say your right to carry trumps a homeowners right to restrict a firearm to be brought into their home...It has yet to be shown that the right exists... or does not exist... for a private business.

    I don't.

But Target or any other private business owner, does.

we have a Constitutional right to Freedom of Speech.

that doesn't mean you have the right to hold a impromptu political rally inside 7-11 without their permission.

sorry, but when someone is engaging in behavior that the store owner feels is or may intimidate his customers, he has the right to ask that person to either adjust their behavior or leave.

The kid will spill the ice cream n the floor and somebody will slip on it! But why do these people feel the need to carry those guns? I guess I'll never understand, since guns mean absolutely nothing to me?

I say I can't imagine but I live in a state where hunters are not rare. I have seen people carrying their guns around and think nothing of it. A person's stance when they have a gun tells it all, only if a person was acting deranged would anyone have a reason to be cautious.
Gun theft is also something to be cautious about, if a person leaves a gun in a vehicle and a nut case steals it, who will be called irresponsible? Carrying your gun with you might be the best.

It does if 7-11 allows it. I’ve already stated that if a private business allows it, good. If they don’t, it’s they’re business, good. That’s not what this is about… claiming someone exercising their rights as ‘abnormal’ shows me that Americans have lost their understanding of the constitution historically and legally.

I'm sorry. I grew up around people who open carried in the 70's. I will never have such a mindset.
