I mean yeah I heard about those schools and hazing situations too, but I swore I heard SAE caught up in something like that also. In fact I thought a band would be the last group to haze anyone.
Reasonable people will realize that neither the state nor the university has anything to do with this incident.
Dodging noted again. This is about your opinion of that choice. Oh I know exactly what you are talking and directly addressed. So tell me what is the difference between most rap and chanting and since the guys on the bus were not "chanting" they were singing new words to a well know melody, your point is entirely specious. More dodging noted. - - - Updated - - - What is the difference between "offensive rap" and what the guys on the bus were doing?
Come again? Have the PF posting rules changed that I have to confirm anything? Why don't they tell us posters about these things? Sheesh! - - - Updated - - - The last six years of observing leftwing antics if nothing else.
Well . . . yeah . . . as is ninety percent of everything that gets posted on political boards. This is new to you? Seriously?
Nothing as far as I'm concerned but what can't you understand about "If they are a student at a university that forbids offensive rap music YES, they will be in trouble...."""
Most of us can back up our opinions on some actual events and facts, those that cannot well.............
I'll bet this pales in comparison to what goes on in the black fraternities and sororities with regard to White folks.........just sayin'
Why? "You bet" ? Is that some kind of proof?? And if it IS going on then THEY aren't STUPID enough to post it.....
Dude, Eddie Murphy does a comedy skit about how badly blacks trash 'crackers when there are black only gatherings...........it's no big secret.....
OH! The Eddie Murphy DOCUMENTARY....well, if Eddie says it in a comedy routine it must be true of ALL black people (sarcasm alert) AND, like whites , blacks have freedom of speech and if they are not at work or at school or in any other public place they too have a right to say what they like. IF they are at a school that forbids that kind of trash , they too would suffer the same consequences.
no you see the free speech rights are protection from government. Thus were they arrested? Your Black Panther derail attempt is funny because I am guessing you know very little about what actually happened.
Can anyone tell me the difference between these kids singing an obviously racist song and rappers that sing anti-white lyrics?
YUP! These ignorant racist pigs are at a school that doesn't allow that kind of filth....and they'll pay the consequences
At least we can agree that both are filth. I wonder if we'll see the media jump on those racist rap lyrics anytime soon.
Finally,, the liberal horde has found a reason for capital punishment. These guys have proven themselves to be pretty stupid and immature but I'm not sure that these kids should be executed before we have a trial to see just how racist they are.
I am NOT defending what they did, I CONDEMN it.........are we CLEAR.......if I owned that school as a private school I'd give them 24 hours to vacate the campus and never come back. But the fact remains it is a STATE, a GOVERNMENT school. They do have a right to free speech, as ugly as it might be, so how can the school sanction them. I hear stuff from the PROFESSORS that make my stomach turn let alone students and they have their claim to free speech so how can you sanction these students? A PRIVATE school yes, then government is not involved. But this is a government school.
Have any of the students involved come out with some kind, any kind of statement? What brought about the singing, who started it, what was the premise, the prompt, what set it off?
It's been done to death....if you want more done about it start a thread, call the news media, call your Congressman and then go back on topic.
To me it doesn't have anything to do with being racist or not, it's all about peoples right to think how they want, associate with who they want and the freedom to exercise their free speech. Even though I disagree with the awful things the fraternity said, they should have the right to say it. The University of Oklahoma is a state funded public school, the state of Oklahoma has a constitution that protects it citizens civil rights. If this happened at a private university, well, tough luck!
