Except to a Christian, it's not just an idea. Following God or not following God is the central reason for existence.
I find it kinda weird when Christians tell me I'm anti god or I hate god. I'm anti god the same way I'm anti snarks, shadow cats and dire wolves.
But you condemn the Jews and the muslims, too... right? They expect people today will believe silly lies about what they report their reading of scripture tells them. They all deny that Genesis is based upon scientific facts, and insist their supernatural interpretations make sense.'But you are saying their book reports are nonsense, true? Or are you a Jew or a muslim??
You mean its like following "Realities?" Christians' abide by the truth, so their species is saved from that "second" death of Extinction? They practice sexual morality, because promiscuity gets a society wiped out?
But you do accept Reality, and seek Truth as the way to discovering what exists and is factual in life. Right? You could even say Reality is like a god force, which you do bow down too? I mean, insanity is denial of Reality, and fantasy worlds are for the crazy people. True?
Yes, they are all wrong about details. They all must invent ideas to explain scripture, because they have not recognized the "god" of the Bible as Reality, whose son is Truth. But they do understand that sexual promiscuity is a bad thing to practice or teach, because it destroys a society and the people in it. And they understand that salvation from that "second death," extinction, is a benefit of conforming to Reality, itself.
Even if Paul hadn't said that women must be quiet, (and he might have added Gays, too), I would say it anyway. Gays and Feminists already control the Politically Correct agenda. They will soon make Laws such that, to complain about overt sexual expression, out loud, is a Hate Crime. The issue of Sexual Promiscuity VS Sexual Prudence then disappears. Then, only Islam can demand a change in behaviors. This is really all about Patriarchy vs Matriarchy
I find it hilarious when atheists want to try to point out the so-called bad results of Christianity... Especially given that the most prolific genocidal maniacs in recent history have all been atheist in Stalin, Hitler and Mao.
No I won't. Typical Theist, trying to put words in someone's mouth to win an argument. - - - Updated - - - No,, they had moustaches therefore all men with moustaches are evil.
Just curious, but have you ever seen an Atheist start a thread that blames Christianity...or is it generally a reply and defense of bashing Atheism?
in an aside, I actually meant to type "anti-Christianity", but laziness made me leave it to my phone's auto-text meantime, yes I'm very anti-snarks myself. And don't talk to me about dire wolves ... I HATE those things
Ignoring the multitude of threads created to attack Christianity... Including the one you're participating in right now... Just looking at the first page of threads alone How about the "who is more moral Jesus or boko haram" thread?
Aside from the fact that this is pure sex discrimination, your stereotype is just wrong. Women are not more emotional. They merely express emotions differently and more often (on balance, women are healthier as a result).
See....that's the problem. It would seem that simply by questioning Christianity, asking questions, or pointing out inconsistency one is accused of "Attacking" the whole religion. You folks seriously need to drop the Persecution Complex and actually answer the questions.
That's your opinion, and your opinion isn't based around any scientific facts. Women's brains are wired differently. That's a scientific fact. But you hardly know about the world yourself. I mean, could you stand here and confidently say you know at least 50% of all the knowledge in the world? Could you say you even know 20%? To come here and say you don't believe in this and you don't believe in that. Your finite life leads to finite knowledge. To say you don't believe in stuff says to the world that you have a closed mind to the 90% of the world's knowledge you don't have access to.
Why do theists see perfectly reasonable questions as an attack? While you might base this on a known history of challenges to the faith, the Pastor I spoke with had no knowledge of my atheism, nor any history to draw from. Yet she still failed utterly to answer any questions, and basically just gave up even trying after only 15 minutes. She ended up repeating mantric platitudes, like "I just know I love the Lord". What (*)(*)(*)(*)ing help or use is that, seriously? It's as though she was hoping I'd fall back on a fully emotive response - such was the waffly feels talk. No actual information at all.
So you think comparing the founding prophet of the religion to a terrorist organization that rapes and murders isn't an attack? Are you serious? - - - Updated - - - But you created this thread for the sole purpose of patting yourself on the back because you think u successfully made a woman whose job it is to help people understand the bible question herself.
Because many Christians have that victim mentality. When asked a sticky question they either go on the defensive, go on the attack or try to bamboozle the questioner with meaningless or irrelevant Bible passages. Happens a lot in these forums.
If I go to a health professional I'd expect answers and solutions. I'd expect the same from a clergyperson.
OK,, what's your slant on the results of the Great Leap Forward? Were the results because of Atheism or below par economic policies?
That's fine but he's not saying he wants an actual answer with this thread. He's just essentially making fun of the woman and Christianity.
Seriously, if that woman had never once considered that she was worshipping a god who will torture her loved ones for eternity, then she's REALLY in the wrong job. But yes ... anyone setting themselves up as a teacher or keeper of knowledge, ought to expect constant requests for information, and constant challenges.
