Indeed I refuse to answer it. It's because this question is irrelevant. Besides, I asked a question a couple pages back and you didn't answer either. So why do you think you get to demand that I answer your question?
That's... an outrageously horrible philosophy to live by. "I only believe tings that the cool kids believe in because I want to be part of the group." You must have a lot of problems. - - - Updated - - - So what exactly is the point you are wanting to make?
Maybe instead of trying to read into my posts what YOU THINK I implied or not, you could try actually reading the words on their own. You know, without interpretation from you, someone who I should point out did not author those posts. - - - Updated - - - That there is room for debate on Holocaust and we should not criminalize Holocaust denial.
Sorry dude, life is too short to waste a minute on defending human garbage and cruelty to ants is more important to me than "unfair" imprisonment of Jew-hating neo-nazis in Germany
So, according to your logic, anything that happened in history should not believed unless we see it with our own eyes. Interesting theory....but dumb....
Nah, it's not me, pretty much everyone in this thread has come to the same conclusion that you are promoting Holocaust denial. Like I said, you ain't fooling no one.
Your hatred for Holocaust deniers is noted. Basically, if some people say stuff you don't like, it's ok to put them in jails. Are you a Jew? I never said we should automatically discount everything that we did not witness with our own eyes. I am saying there is always room for debate and further we should not throw people in jails just for saying things we don't like.
I don't think any legislation outlawing something as horrendous as the Holocaust is meant to prevent people from denying that it happened but more to prevent people seeking recognition on the back as something as horrendous as the Holocaust from using that message as their vehicle to fame. Does that make sense.
I don't care what YOU THINK I was trying try to do or not. Much less whether I am successfully "fooling" anyone. You want to put people in jail for saying things you don't like though. Are you a Jew?
Your logic, or lack of it, is plain to see. Thats why people go apesh!t when you discuss it. Because youre a dunderhead.
Theres no need to argue. It happened. End of story. Im not going to waste any more of my time on this thread.
Holocaust denial is rampant in some neo-Nazi circles, and it's justified to make laws to stop them. Holodomor denial is rampant among some Communist circles, but nothing has been done to make laws to stop them. Why isn't there a fairness between different genocides?
I don't have the patience to read thru the entire thread so are you denying that the Holocaust occurred?
I make no statement to that effect one way or another. I am open to hear both sides of the debate, which is why I maintain that we should not criminalize Holocaust denial.
If the holocaust means whatever the germans did to jews, then yes it happened. It could mean that the germans served jews some tea. If that's what happened, then the holocaust happened. The laws against holocaust denial get my spidey senses tingling, and makes me think that it has more to do with serving tea with crumpets to jews than killing the jews en masse. Whatever the holocaust means, well... I dunno. I wasn't there. I've seen the pictures and video, but I could make the same thing by showing pictures of the battle of leningrad. At the end of the day, the laws against holocaust denial tell me that things weren't all that cut and dried.
I am just saying that your agenda is absolutely transparent and obvious to anyone... "I did not say these exact words" and "No one saw the Holocaust" sorts of excuses are childish and pathetic LOL, nice try. I don't put no one in jail but I could not care less if these neo-Nazi lowlifes end up there. "Justice for jailed Jew hating neo-Nazis" is not my favorite slogan, I have better things to worry about. Luckily for them, they have you Don't you see my flag? I am a Kazakh, I am a non practicing Islamic fundamentalist.
Look mate don't judge me. I can't research bloody everything. If I only accepted claims I had a huge amount of independently researched evidence for I'd be some crackpot (*)(*)(*)(*). I agree it's not philosophically sound. Neither is inductive logic, or a belief in the existence of the external world.
Because you are clearly trolling since you've been asked over and over by multiple people and have just dodged around it like a coward. So just answer the question all ready.
Holodomor denial is actually a very suitable example. Ukraine tried to pass law criminalizing Holodomor denial. It was vetoed by Yanukovich https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial_of_the_Holodomor#Holodomor_Denial_in_Ukrainian_Law The point though is, laws don't exist in a vacuum and are based on local specific. Ukraine is concerned with Holodomor so it's passing (trying to pass) the Holodomor denial law. Armenia may be concerned with Turkey and the Armenian genocide and their laws may reflect that. Europe on the other hand is concerned with neo-Nazism, anti-Semitism and the Holocaust so the laws in Europe address these unique specific European concerns. Like I said, it's about prevention, not some abstract fairness.
Then the people who deny it should steer clear of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania. There are reasons why they have made the denial of the Holocaust a crime in those places. And btw...actual Nazis and perpetrators of the crimes of the Holocaust have NEVER denied the Holocaust.
