This is a brigade with 100 tanks of type M1 and the related stuff. In Russia alone, more Russian tanks than Poland and this brigade have together!
So I do not know what this excitement is about. Sure, this is politically because of the Ukraine conflict, but does anyone believe that these ridiculous 100 tank cause President Putin a sleepless night?

 

No probably not....but there's possibly other hardware that no one knows, which is far more lethal than say 100 tanks.

Dude, he's very consistently been pro-military, talking about increasing its funding and improving it so that "no one will mess with us." It's the usual "conservative" spiel in Trump's characteristically childish diction, and it's what we expect of any Republican. It's a part of the Republican package. We're not allowed to have an anti-military Republican or pro-military Democrat, just as we're not allowed to have a third party or independent candidate run seriously and be elected president.

As to the OP, if Poland wants us there for security, fine. It's not like Russia doesn't have plenty of forces stationed near Poland. Thanks to NATO, we get to go and flex our muscle there and elsewhere to remind Russia of their place, and that no aggression against a NATO member will be tolerated. It's no big deal, nothing to get excited and start a thread about. It's quite routine, in fact, for NATO.

 

Putin wants us to hate our own country for defending Eastern Europe, that's all.
