You are right about the background check part though. Our government states that the best indicator of gun sales is the number of NICS background checks......... under 1 million checks in 1998 to over 27 million last year.

Straw purchases is one way they get them and that IS a black market sale.

Criminals usually pay upwards of two to three times or more of the actual Retail price of a gun compared to the MSRP, which is higher than Retail.
