Deep throat ended up being the Associate Director of the FBI, Mark Felt who couldn't accept that Hubert Humphrey (D) lost and Richard Nixon (R) won the presidential election in 1968.

Those are Brennan's beliefs. But despite the beliefs of he and many, as an organization they have yet to take any meaningful legal action or demonstrated proof beyond reasonable doubt. As such, his words are hollow just like the entire FBI is hollow. They'd done that to themselves.

 

His role is INVESTIGATOR. And careful what you wish for.

Mr Mueller, who is also a former federal prosecutor, is supposed to carry on the investigation that Mr Comey told Congress about before he was fired by the president. That includes any links between Trump campaign associates and Russia, as well as "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation," according to the letter appointing him.

 

Wrong . His words are held in high regard by elected officials, the intelligence community, and by the public so his input is worth much than some average person. And his words will impress on the public and congress how critical the need for investigations are.
That's why there's a special counsel to look into all this so early in Trumps Presidential career,
and members of Congress as well. So let the investigations continue and by all means keep the public informed.

I don't hold them in high regard, I hold them what they are: Hot air. There's been a lot of hot air, a lot of it damaging to the US. It's so ironic that they claim that Russia "succeeded" beyond its wildest imaginations, and its "success" is LARGELY attributed to the so-called intelligence community.

They have failed the US, and they've damaged this presidency, and they refuse to repair the damage. At this point, I don't want any former or current official reporting to Washington until they have made indictments and a criminal case. Though good luck with one, given the nature of the case there's no way there's a jury of ones peers. That'll be the very first argument and the State(DOJ) cannot counter that, since they publicly damaged it.

This case has been so mishandled that it jeopardized any such legal case, but it has also destroyed America. The only question is how much more can the FBI and other lousey so-called "intelligence agents" can screw it up. Here's a hint: If they couldn't talk about everything, they shouldn't have talked about anything.

If I were Trump/Flynn's lawyers, my very first argument is that the case is compromised and my client will never have a fair day in court as a result of malpractice.

-Let's be very specific: Trump said that the Russian investigation was and at this point is incredibly frivolous. If it were any other investigation, you would be upset with how the intelligence community is handling it. They have sabotaged the case. There's no Judge who'll disagree that this is MALPRACTICE. At this point, you can't get a conviction without overwhelming evidence to justify the malpractice of the conduct of this investigation.

But we have not seen that evidence, we can literally quote Brennan: " “I know what the Russians try to do." This is Brennan's supposition. This is what he believes, based off what he KNOWS. Has he documented that as evidence? Has he been interviewed by fellow FBI agents? What, if anything has he contributed?

Probably very little of relevance. And the only excuse is: "Oh this'll take time." That's bad news actually. The longer it takes, the easier it is to claim malpractice. I would easily argue that there's a statue of limitations and that a person cannot be indefinitely under investigation. I have more arguments against the State, then the State has an actual argument. If a trial were held now, I could get Trump out with a not guilty verdict, guaranteed. I can without a doubt, get a mistrial.

This whole thing is a farce, one that hurts America. So they can take their "Russia gained a lot", and shove it up their ass. Everything Russia gained, was from this epic malpractice by our "intelligence community" that doesn't even know its sinking its own case.
