    Uhm...

Even though there were disagreements on what is and isn't possible...I never copped out on an argument using phrases like "I'm not sure you'd understand me".

You did and we're done. Good day.

It was meant as no offence, by the ambiguity of read you believe there was. Proving you could not understand me.

And still with the "you could not understand me" bit. You can't be bothered to even try to formulate an argument so you make statements calling into question my level of intelligence and education and whether or not I could even to begin to understand you.

I come to this site for discussion and debate. You respond to my points with a childish "Nun-uh! You're too stupid"-like response.

We are done...welcome to the ignore list.

Hahaha, the thinner the skin the quicker they go! Only, I notice you didn't leave so I take it your hyperbole was on porpoise, lol.

This has nothing to do with you. This was between me and the other guy now on my ignore list. He and I were done. When he couldn't leave it alone...I ignored him. I'm still enjoying the discussion and so I'm staying in this discussion thread. You want to keep going at me and not simply countering my points...you can just as easily join him.

    Contrast with
See, the latter addresses an actual question. More fluid mass must be on the drain side of the siphon or it stops. Regardless of how one might mean "perpetual." Regardless of how low one may bow when another mentions The Laws of Thermodynamics! As described, practically speaking - TODAY - the rest of my life - perhaps until my grandchildren kick their proverbial bucket - it won't work (or it might){because such and thus}. That's all I usually care about. YMMV.

When an idea is stupid or wrong or based on fantasy, the sharer of the idea should be told that. Perpetual motion machines cannot work, based on the laws of physics. If they could work, there is no way they would be anything more than a toy, as any attempt to get usable energy from them would shut down the perpetual part, by taking energy out of the system.

No, actually the power for the tides is the earth's rotation, and the tides are slowing down the earth's rotation. The moon is also slowly moving away from the earth. It's not perpetual motion.

I thought you liberals are all about science?

Those prone to bark about liberals are so seldom accused of paying attention. In a world where the existence of the human species beyond another century or two is seriously in doubt - for scientific reasons - picking nits over usage of the word "perpetual" because "4 cm per year" or one preferring six of this over a half dozen of that really hits the pinnacle of pomposity, of distance from any semblance of being grounded in every day reality.

Have it your way then, stupid and wrong.

Wow, the ignorance and magical thinking is amazing. As you probably know, the U.S. Patent office no longer even looks at Perpetual motion machines--why? Well, the only people who still believe in them are conmen and their marks. By arguing in favor of them, what does that make you?

BTW, in science, 4 cm per year is not considered a nitpicking amount--it's a measurable amount. You should try learning about science sometime. It's quite interesting.

Lol. Get in line, junior, and never dare imagine why there's millions of beaten down wankers like you for every actual scientist - the relative few who still dare to think for themselves and well outside the box as Tesla did.

Tesla did science when he used the scientific method but, being a scientist does not necessarily preclude you from being wrong or influenced by superstition and irrational thinking, that's the kind of nonsense that science tends to filter out.

Why do you make random references to 'liberal' in your 'science' posts, do you think that there is some kind of Scientific Conspiracy Theory going on? That could be fun to hear about.

But never let that stop you.
You clearly have me confused with someone like yourself. And it is a shame how you can't be more fun or at least original.

You're so original that I had you pegged pretty much within two posts; I'll file you under my 'Binky' section.

Refrigerators should have their coils outside in the summer and inside in the winter. They produce more hot air than cold air.
