    The world turned upside down.

Remember when it was the Right that preferred "angst & supposition over anything factual".
I mean Fox News doesn't yell at me anymore.

A lot of physicians are overpaid hacks who simply order tests. You think they deserve the amount they're paid?

You ****ing conservatives are so ridiculous with this healthcare bullshit and you will all have hell to pay for this vote.

He voted to debate healthcare that is the proper thing to do.

That is what is supposed to happen. Just like the ACA was debated so should the Republican repeal and replace.

It does not mean it will pass, just means it now will be debated.

Utter nonsense. Most employees didn't get **** before Obama care. You people have the shortest memories on earth. It's like someone white washed your brains pre 2008. I remember specifically not getting benefits. Not at my first 4 jobs. Because health care wasn't required.

You people make me sick with your inhumane, grotesque opinions. Unsupported hackery, typical Republican ass grab.

    Can't believe I missed this.

All that was voted on today, was to debate.

    Listen/watch the video Moi provided.

Any employer who wanted to keep FT employees, provided healthcare insurance options prior to the ACA.

    Sorry you had crap jobs.

It was a vote to BEGIN DEBATE!!! That's all!! And not even one Democrat voted. No one pulled options away from anybody. Heck your own quote reads: The Senate just narrowly passed a vote to began debate.

Yes and what's even more embarrassing (for them) is that they don't even know what was being voted on.

Baloney. Most employers follow local trends. Again white washed memories. It's like you people forget a time existed where employers in specific areas didn't offer **** in the way of benefits.

When it comes to healthcare there is only one logical, humane, constitutional system. Single payer.

    And that's all.

We only have one life here. Why should it be lived in abject misery so a rich guy can get a tax break? Plebe republicans.

Why should they vote? We've had 8 years of absolute obstruction from republicans. This is why we need less republicans and democrats and more 3rd party statesmen.

You seem to have had little exposure to the world.

Get out more. Try another county first, before taking a larger walkabout.

    P.S., I'm not a Republican.

That right there is the size of it. The ACA didn't do its job in terms of helping the middle class by bringing down costs. But there are elements of the ACA that made perfect sense, and need to stay in place. Pre-ACA didn't work.

This is all because somewhere along the line some idiot called it "Obamacare" and we all know Trump is way to arrogant to allow Obama's name to be on anything.

Second time you've expressed dismay upon learning that conservative lawmakers have failed to suddenly become born again liberals on their death beds ... Faith and conviction must not be things you're very familiar with.

That's correct......a vote to proceed. To begin the Debate. That is the Senators job.....to debate. Those that voted against the motion to proceed, like Susan Collins. Were for shutting down the Debate and not doing their job.

Senate Clears Procedural Motion on House Obamacare Overhaul.....
Republicans can now hold a vote on several of their own health care bills.

Senate Republicans mustered the support necessary to clear a key procedural hurdle Tuesday that will allow the chamber to hold a vote on several pieces of legislation designed to, in some fashion or another, overhaul the U.S. health insurance system.

Vice President Mike Pence broke a 50-50 tie to clear the Senate motion to proceed with the House-passed bill to repeal and replace the 2010 health care law, after weeks of hand-wringing and backroom deal-making by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

After 20 hours of debate, the Senate will then proceed to the so-call vote-a-rama, a process under which nearly unlimited amendments can be offered by both Democrats and Republicans......snip~

Funny, I just came from the hospital. Nobody I saw there was a government employee.....

I guess I don't live in Trumster fantasy land!

Correct. And his speech was fantastic.

If the Senators are going to get anything done they need to stop listening to the ideologues, just like those dotting this thread.

The Republicans and Democrats need to come up with something they can agree on, period.
