And you support the very same "treason" in your support for secession. Kind of hypocritical don't you think?

There's a pretty good chance that at one time pretty much everyone owned slaves. Lee had the opportunity to be one of 'the founding fathers' but chose to take a different path and ended up trying to over throw the United States. He and his comrades lost the war to overthrow the United States. We don't have any monuments in honor of Tojo, Hiro Hito or any Japanese Kamakazi pilots and it doesn't make sense to have monuments honoring other people who fought the United States and lost. If you can't understand the difference you have to stop drinking trump's kool-aid.

Fortunately for them, progressivism is a fluid ideology that can be bent in whichever way is politically expedient. It does not require consistency. In fact, it views consistency and integrity as weaknesses since it locks them down to certain positions. If the adoption of a contrary position is politically beneficial for them at the time, they will generally do it, regardless of how much it contradicts their stated principles.

So secession from the USA isn't considered treason if "Ronstar of the Internet" approves of the reasons for seceding?

Just a small difference; I haven't yet seen them attacking Washington with guns blazing, have you?

I think property owners in California that have invested their entire lives in that state might react something other than non-violently, if California was to secede from the Union. If they were to fight against this, you'd call them Traitors

So where in the Constitution does it give you a legal pathway to secession?

You need to choose your words more carefully. There was no attempt to "overthrow" the U.S. government. There was an attempt by certain states to seceded from the Union and form their own government. To "overthrow" would suggest a coup d'état.
And Lee was born in 1807 while the signers of the Declaration of Independence and those who drafted the Constitution, such as John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George Washington were doing their good work in the latter part of the 1700's. Don't forget, Americans fought Americans, Lee surrendered, all was forgiven. Many statues have stood for 75 to 100 years so why are you in favor of disturbing the peace? Look around at the people tearing down the statues and ask yourself if you want to be a part of that group. I guess next the Christian churches will be torn down because the Muslims are offended by them. We are headed in the wrong direction and you are being led around by the nose. Start thinking for yourself and be skeptical of the liberal media.

Good job. I stand corrected. However, my sentiments are still pretty much the same.

Thank you. You are certainly entitled to your opinion. All I ask of anyone is to think clearly why they are on one side or the other on issues. If you think you are on the right side your opinion will be easy to defend.

Slave owners used violence to defend their money against British taxes.

    And you support them
