Are you so naive as to think most business acts in any other way? You are so naive. I could tell you some true stories of what I witnessed from corporations involving unethical low down behavior, that would clue you in on reality. It is dog eat dog in so much of big business. Do you think people get rich by being nice people? You either get down in the dirt with others or you get back on the porch and retire. I was so disgusted by what I saw that I left corporate employment before what I saw rubbed off on me. I formed my own business, and intentionally remained small because I would not do what it took to grow and grow. I just saw a business go bankrupt here because the owner was a nice guy, with scruples. You know, always trying to do the right thing? He did the right thing and lost his business.

You must be something like a school teacher? Noble profession, so not dissing you. But you have no clue how the world actually works. But at least he may have some lines he will not cross? For example, in so far as I know, he didn't have to install nets on the lower floors of slave labor factories in order to keep from losing his workforce from suicides. How about you? You own a smart phone made in such conditions? And if you do, what does this say about your own behavior? Your own values and ethics? Out of sight, out of mind? No excuse ma'am. But to use what you are trying to use is just living in such a naive reality. And when you vote for people who break international law, kill 500,000 kids and women, are you not responsible? Damn right you are. You need to join in with what reality is and stop acting like you are above all of this harsh reality. Otherwise it is just the common flavor of utter hypocrisy.

 

And that is where reagan's amnesty went wrong. We did little to stop the illegal immigration for business wanted the cheap labor. So I agree with you for it is realism. If amnesty of some kind is given, and it should be, IMO, then trump should do all that he can to secure the border and even go after employers, with big fines and jail time, to insure amnesty is never given again. But having to give it over and over is what many of us do not like.

These people who were brought here as kids and then raised up in american culture are a special case and there is nothing wrong with being compassionate as a nation. Those who think contrawise have some problems with their moral compass IMO.

We need to certainly control and stop illegal immigration, but there is a right way and wrong way to do that. If we took in every man, woman and child that wanted to come to america, we would implode from the pressure and ability to finance these people. Not that the left even considers that, as they are an irrational bunch of minds, and tend to allow their mixed up emotions and unicorn beliefs to over ride their ability to be rational beings. Not that some of them do not have positive things to offer society, as do the conservatives. But when rationality goes out the door, they are destructive and dangerous to any society that seeks order over chaos, right over wrong and good over bad. Same for the other side of the spectrum.

 

This has nothing to do with being on the right. Don't confuse the two. But I do not consider the neo nazis to be a legit part of the political right. I consider it, as I do with some who say they are left, with other things. Age old things.

 

Cruz wouldn't have tweeted like trump did that we're basically heartless for wanting to deport the dreamers.

This problem has been growing for a while. So Cal just keeps filling up with more and more Hispanics from south of the border, and there is only so many homes and apartments out there, especially on the lower price levels . You can't even rent a bedroom for less than 800 a month now in many areas.

Yeah, Texas is just as demographically ****ed as California. Go to Northern, mountainous areas. About as far from their natural habitat as you can get, and it should stay that way for quite a while. Hell, even in the local area you can see this is true. Big Bear is overwhelmingly white at elevation, while all the cities at the base of the mountain are almost all minority.

Trump is not dividing anything. Trump haters hated him even prior to him winning the presidents office.
I watched that fool Jimmy Kimmel who never took cheap shots at Obama try to hammer Spicer who showed up last for the typical Kimmel beating. Spicer to his credit took the assault in good graces and managed to look far better than did Kimmel.

 

Here in CA, we can move into the mountains such as at Angels Camp, Placerville, Auburn and Grass Valley and be with people of our kind that we grew up with.

I never had a Mexican in grade school until around the 6th grade and there were several boys. I made pals of them since they lived to the rear of the place my parents then rented. When we all moved to a new tract home, that grade school had no Mexicans but had one Navajo boy. We became pals too. At high school those Mexicans tended to be part of the Pachucos and were gangsters. During school, they were no problem that I know of. I took all but one college prep course so they did not take science and math so there it was just white kids. I really never noticed blacks in the school due to the enormous student body size plus my college prep courses. I never saw a black in college prep courses.

 

You must be a quite a bit older than me and RiseAgainst. We are in CA and it's overrun with minorities.

 

Hey neighbor, born and raised in Auburn, graduated from Placer HS. Grade school was Bowman. Left at age 18 and just go back to see family every 5 years.

I can no longer take California. If I was to move (Never) back it would be in the Foresthill area or Nevada City. Northern CA has changed to much for my taste.

I used to live at Roseville, though this was from 1944-46-7. Grandma lived in Auburn and we would visit fairly often. I love the mountains. So, where is a better place than our high mountains?
