No this is about DACA not the wall. And I cancelled Cable in the beginning of the year almost 9 months ago. Trump betrayed us on amnesty. And the reason I know that is from reading his own words on Twitter.

This is going to be very hilarious and sad at the same time in the coming months watching Maga heads become pro amnesty.

 

I live in Fremont. Our area is overrun with people from India, from China and a huge number of Afghani people. We whites are in the minority.

Here, thankfully, it is far different than say in the Los Angeles area or Oakland, CA. San Jose has a lot of people from Vietnam and Iran. They have an enclave of Mexicans and I know where most of those are. I appraised hundreds of properties in that area years back.

 

Aren't they going to have to pass this through the Republican House and Senate?

 

California of today is extremely different than the CA of my boyhood. I never saw a black man until I was in high school but even there, I knew one black kid due to him on the JV football team. Varsity had zero blacks but did have one or two Mexicans. Coach Jack Del Rio, of Oakland Raider fame today, is the son of one of my high school team mates, Jack Del Rio, Sr. His dad had two cousins on the team, Dave and Tony. Tony is dead. Dave and I chatted several months ago. Dave moved to the Placerville, CA area.

You think that is a problem? Neither party has done SQUAT regarding immigration reform. I don't see Republicans opposing DACA path to citizenship with stipulations. If the end result is a tradeoff in stopping the bleeding at our border, WTF not?

 

Every Saturday during the summer we would be at Denios farmers/Flea market in Roseville. Good to meet you Robert and you are a bit older than I, just turned 55 and made Colorado my home after retiring from the Army, I bought land in N. Arkansas for retirement, Colorado is now over ran and Denver Progs set policy for the state. The good thing for Colorado is that they have many Kennedy type Democrats that love guns and helped us kick out 3 elected officials who are anti gun through special election.

As for the Mountains in CA after Silicon Valley bought up the majority of land from Tahoe south you are hard pressed to find reasonable prices, Forest Hill, Coloma, Cool is still good as is Grass Valley and Nevada City but you will pay dearly for real estate, as you know.

Seems everyone from Sacramento area moved to Placerville to get away from the congestion.

McCain served his bcountry and if he had done anything that approached treason while in captivity he would have been court marshaled after he was liberated.

I don't think there's any question he'll push for single payer. He's been publicly advocating single payer for the last 30 years.

What you've posted in your first few posts in this thread are things that a few of us, myself included, have been saying about Trump for the last 2 years. Nothing that has transpired should surprise anyone.

I very much admire your honesty about what happened, because you are correct - Trump lied to you, and he only wanted to be President for his own image, accolades, and pocketbook.

I will share your disappointment when the Democrats take back control of the WH and very likely the Senate and House as well.

 

I wish I could assure that trump is still trump and will keep his word on the wall

But I don't know what he is going to do

What I can say is that if he gives amnesty to DACA without doing the wall first - and I mean full funding for the wall not just empty promises - then a lot of trumpsters are going to abandon ship and his presidency is finished

 

I dunno, to me it sounds like Trump and Bannon have it in for the Republicans.

So his support for Democrats more like revenge on Republicans.... it's all a bit foggy atm
