Interesting. I have found that it is not necessary to disrespect anyone to get my point across. Disagree if you want, but they could have just as easily helped their cause without having to drag their employer through this controversy. The majority of Americans feel this way.

My great-grandfather served in the Filipino Insurrecto. My grandfather was an Artillery officer in WWI. My father and step father were Army and Marine infantry, respectively, with service on Tarawa, Saipan, Guam, the Philippines, and both on Okinawa. They were PH awardees and won medals of valor several times. My uncle drove a glider in the pre-dawn darkness into Normandy. My mother's fiancee was shot down and killed over Italy. My stepfather fought and was wounded in Korea. My cousin was badly wounded in Vietnam. My brother was a career Air Force NCO. I served twelve years in the infantry and earned the Parachute Badge and have a 100% VA disability pension.

Not one of us ever would have voted for an immoral cretin like Trump.

Our family supported Civil Rights from the 1920s right up to and including today. We are anti racialism, nativism, ethnocentrism, and white supremacy. We are from France, Sweden, and Holland, and not one of us has ever had truck with 'isms of the far right or the far let.

But I certainly don't honor Americans who cannot understand what America is all about while trying to drag it back to the 1950s and beyond.

They can't explain why kneeling is disrespecting soldiers or disrespecting the flag. They know they are racists, but defend themselves with "you are a racist if you point out my racism," which is rather stupid.

I know enough to be proud of our early years, disgusted about our history of slavery, proud of our actions in the two world wars and the period of reconstructing Europe, and disgusted by our recent actions in Vietnam, Iraq and Afganistan, and appalled by our current administration.

 

Much of our present is good. What we are seeing is that our racist 'herpes' is having an outbreak culturally. The older racists are having their last "hurrah", mad about CR, mad about blacks not having to step aside for them on the street and down into the gutter.

An example: several years a white supremacist tried to upbraid a black man on the sidewalk in Apple Springs, Texas, and he was beat down for using the N word and pushing several people. When he raised his cane, they beat him down.

They cannot stand that those days are over.

Be vigilant, be proud, and beat down any cultural supremacism.

 

So you imagine some "the left" and then imagine it somehow being "stung" by some vague thing you've utterly failed to explain, let alone "illustrate." Here's a thought - find something to do.
