As I suspected: You did not answer the question asked in the OP.

The question "Does Obama have blood on his hands" because of the bump stocks? I'll answer that if you admit you're saying that guns and gun accessories kill people, not "people kill people". Because that is the only way to make your question a valid one.

    No. the question was:
Given the Obama administration approved the bump-fire stocks for unrestricted sale, how much blame to you place on the Obama administration for the massive casualties in the LV shooting?
    Well?

Do you think ATF should have banned bump stocks (assuming they had the power to do so)? It kind of sounds like you do.

Maybe after all the investigations are complete. For now, No. You know that any gun control measure is going to be a very hard sell. It doesn't help when Hillary keeps opening her uninformed mouth. The Hearing Protection Act will be first up. Then possibly National reciprocity ( which I'm not really in favor of). The rest may be debated but don't expect much. There hasn't been anything but obstruction from democrats so why would republicans be willing to give up anything without getting something like tax reform in return.

So because the Obama administration didn't do anything to impede these features, does that mean Obama is also responsible for crimes that don't occur? Stephen Paddock is responsible. He the one who pulled the trigger he the one who killed those people. Not the GOP, DNC, NRA, Obama, Trump or any other person or organization.

After all the investigations are complete? There have been 273 mass shootings in 275 calendar days of 2017.

There will always be an ongoing investigation into a mass shooting in America.

I do. I'm not a Second Amendment absolutist. And I don't know if ATF had the power to ban or not. They had to approve of bump stocks, it sounds like, so I can't say for sure.

But until the Chinese invade the country I think this technology is self defense "over kill" (no pun intended).

That's not me guessing at when there should be any debate. It's what many in congress have said. The same is true of bump stocks. Ryan was asked about them. He said he had only learned of what they were on Monday and that they would need to look into weather this was something that ATF overlooked. They are not widely in use with many of the millions who own AR's, AK's and even some types of shotguns they can be fitted to.

Like any commodity that is in demand, bump stocks are already sold out nation wide. People will horde them if they think there is any chance they will become restricted. The same was true after Sandy Hook, gun sales sky rocketed. Sales have slowed a little post election but there will likely be another run on AR's and maybe .223 ammo which actually is a form of gun control.

I don't think it's possible to be responsible for something that doesn't happen.

I don't know what your angle is. Paddock is responsible for all the people he murdered. Obama is responsible for making it easier for Paddock to kill, however.
    That much is inarguable.

Without the bump stock technology it just wouldn't have been possible to fire so many rounds....period!

Did anyone make Obamska aware of what a bomb stock was? Did Obamska think it's like a gust bump? Seriously all are detail regulations made known to presidents? Shouldn't they be? Shouldn't someone explain things such as bump stock to a president?

Do any of you realize that the bump shock device was originally developed to help disabled people to enjoy shooting?

Probably... The argument was that bump stock would make hunting easier for the elderly or disabled. ?????

Its possible that the ban simply expired... Needs some fact checking.

Closures of the bump-stock loophole made it into the assault weapons ban legislation of 2013 and 2015, but I doubt anyone briefed the president on the details. Trump will probably be the first to be briefed on it, and that's strictly due to the recent attack.

They were never banned. They have only been around for about 10 years.

I only knew because I had an AR-15 enthusiast roommate who had one, but I was used to seeing all sorts of go-arounds to this kind of legislation.

Yeah, only the older ones with mechanical parts were banned. Nothing without moving parts/springs.

Really? Then KellyAnn Comway lied thru her teeth. I don't know much about guns and never heard of bumpstock.. Used to shoot skeet and duck hunt some. We got rid of our hand gun when the kids came along when we discovered our 3 year old had fished an unloaded 45 out of a hatbox in the master bedroom closet.

My brothers have have nice hand guns now that their kids are grown, but we're not gun culture conservative "Christians".... More centrist, "don't let religion make you crazy" Christians.

Why shouldn't ATF ban these kits that convert semi-automatics to automatics, given that we as society do not want either citizens or even law enforcement equipped with fully automatic fire arms? We may this decision as a nation in the 1930's gang wars.

You're right.. They banned the "tommy gun" after the Valentine's day massacre that slaughtered 7 or 8 people.. The nation was HORRIFIED.
