    We know who did Vegas too, we just don't know the motive. We know it for NY. I'm guessing Walmart was a nut job or a domestic dispute. In both the latter cases we have the perp alive and in custody. Not so with Paddock.

    The guy came here seven years ago based on a piece of legislation that allows 50,000 a year for nearly 27 years.

    You look at that one example and think, "**** the 1.35 million."

    And who is to say that he would not have just come here illegally? What law would have stopped him?

    You do know we have immigration laws right? You do know we have "sanctuary" cities right?

    Do you know of any "sanctuary cities" that are set up to protect those using guns illegally?

    Not accurate. At all. If they use a gun illegally, then they are still subject to criminal prosecution for such because they are violating state and federal laws.

    See, here's the thing. I don't mind politicizing an event because I want to respond to tragedies with solutions.

    I am just pointing out the hypocrisy of Trump always politicizing an event...when that event involves a minority as a perpetrator.

    Like the difference between Trump's responses to the Vegas shootings and NYC.

    Trump went crazy yesterday b/c he could throw red meat to his Muslim-hating base.

    He had a much more measured response when discussing the Vegas shooter.

    Trump = HYPOCRITE.

    Problem is, as noted before, none of the things you propose would stop the crime in question or another one like it, and so cannot be considered 'solutions'.
    Thus, you don't want solutions, you want restrictions on the law abiding.
