""sanctuary cities" that have a purpose of sheltering gun charges"

    That is your quote.

If everyone had a gun it would never have happened.

Not in America. If you feel insulted or someone steps on your grass or doesn't stand for your flag you have a right to blow them away.

So far from the truth why do you bother typing it?

    Reported
According to the numbers found in the UCR, black people are indeed responsible for 53% of the murders in the US.
This is true for every year 2015-2011, and in the aggregate total of all 5 years.
If you don't like the rules, you can leave.

We have been over this, multiple times. Answer two questions:

    1) What is the source for the FBI data?
    2) Does every murder result in an indictment or conviction?

Oddly enough you are actually correct, but of the thousands of shootings in America each year only a handful actually make the news. Wonder why this one made the cut...

The same reason Sandy Hook, Vegas, the Navy Yard, Fort Hood, Edgewood, Steve Scalise, Fort Lauderdale airport and so many others made the cut.

Because it was a very public pace e.g. A store and it happened right after NYC.

We have. You refuse to accept the truth because you find it politically inconvenient.
    Offenses Known to Law Enforcement
The FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program collects the number of offenses that come to the attention of law enforcement for violent crime and property crime, as well as data regarding clearances of these offenses. In addition, the FBI collects auxiliary information about these offenses (e.g., time of day of burglaries). The expanded offense data include trends in both crime volume and crime rate per 100,000 inhabitants. Finally, the UCR Program collects expanded homicide data, which includes information about homicide victims and offenders, weapons used, the circumstances surrounding the offenses, and justifiable homicides.
    Offenses Cleared
In the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program, law enforcement agencies can clear, or “close,” offenses in one of two ways: by arrest or by exceptional means. Although an agency may administratively close a case, that does not necessarily mean that the agency can clear the offense for UCR purposes. To clear an offense within the UCR Program’s guidelines, the reporting agency must adhere to certain criteria, which are outlined in the following text. (Note: The UCR Program does not distinguish between offenses cleared by arrest and those cleared by exceptional means in collecting or publishing data via the traditional Summary Reporting System.)
As the FBI numbers do not deal with convictions, this is irrelevant.

According to the numbers found in the UCR, black people are indeed responsible for 53% of the murders in the US.
This is true for every year 2015-2011, and in the aggregate total of all 5 years.

Yes - the left believes it can politicize the shooting to its advantage.

There have been numerous mass shooting in Chicago this year, some with more victims than this Walmart shooting, yet we don't hear about them. Why?

Every other big shooting is already politicized.

There's numerous mass shootings all over the nation. You really think we've got the need to write big stories on all of them.

Someone felt the need to write about this one. Strangely enough it seems to me that some folks who tell us black lives matter only ever want to talk about shootings involving white folks. What's one to make of that?

Not now it isn't big, but the shooter is still on the loose IIRC. A guy killed 3 people in Delaware and Maryland 2 weeks ago, they caught him and it made the news.

And you yourself said on average 23 people die from firearms a day. Is it necessary to have a big story on all of them, all the time?

UNLESS the black folks were killed by a white male.

So, why the hub over this and not the similar sized shootings that take place every day elsewhere in the country?

It would seem sanctuary cities aren’t very interested in federal laws.
