Politicians, of course, try hard to hide what they really think. Every once in a while, they may let their guard down for a moment, and they fail at that. That was Hillary's moment. What she was referring to was Trump's supporters, but I always believed it was a window into her mind, exposing her true disdain for all voters, on both sides. She hated Trump voters, but I think she thought of Democratic voters as simply a conduit to her ambition ... that should be manipulated, controlled, and used.

That one obviously gets paid by the word instead of by the post. I think they get bonuses for what percentage of the front page of a forum their threads control also.

    To the topic, what topic?

    How Trump got elected ?
Because unfortunately too many Americans are like the inbred dogs that are still going to vote for Moore because they feel young girls were meant for raping

It's obvious that you, like people from Alabama, prefer an inbred dog since you defend Moore so strongly......that's why Trump was elected, people IDENTIFIED with him, they were like him...inbred dogs like each other...

You'd like me to believe that but as per usual righites always come around to the President regardless the topic. If someone left their suitcase on the train platform and someone tripped over it, it's Obama's fault.

Nice to see you equate child predators with tripping over a suitcase....guess it isn't that important to Moore supporters :)P

There was a quote in one of the leaked Podesta emails where he wrote, (I may be paraphrasing) "you know how she hates everyday Americans". Now the spin was that his reference was to the use of the phrase, but given what can be seen from those moments when exhaustion let down the curtains, I don't think her dislike related to a phrase.

Yes, I always wanted to be at beet.

No, you're right. I was too smart to vote for Trump in 2016. Too classy, too.

I think you're confusing me with the lifelong liberal reality TV game show host you worship so much. Unlike him, I actually voted for Republicans and not Clintons.

    Thank you.

I am not completely sure he will finish his first term. There are three distinct possibilities.

First and most probable, Trump will resign. It won't bother him the least bit that he would be the first President to just up and quit. He simply doesn't care. He is a rich man, and he used to being in charge and having people pay strict attention to every word he says. His super ego demands that reverence. As President, he clearly is not in charge. He has yet to get anything accomplished legislatively, and his current baby, tax reform, is not looking good in the Senate. The courts have ruled against him a few times. He is maligned in the press, and laughed at by a majority of Americans. Strangely enough, for some unknown reason, he encourages the latter. He often times acts like a stand-up comic. The trouble is, his lousy jokes are too close to the truth. Yes, resignation is a very real possibility.

The second possibility is impeachment. There are simply too many of his close associates and members of his family that have had relations with the Russians and his distinct kinship with a hostile Putin is very obvious. It seems apparent that Putin has something on Trump. That makes the Trump Presidency a liability and he should be removed.

The third and least likely possibility is Section Four of the 25th Amendment. Several times, due to his mental problems -- aforementioned super ego, narcissism, and paranoia (the unrelenting urge to strike back at naysayers) -- Trump has shown an inability to govern. Matters have gotten so serious there are times Americans are unsure if he really meant what he said or was he cracking jokes or being sarcastic. Foreign leaders, including hostile ones, have the same problem. That could be very dangerous. Often times, for no apparent reason, he is simply moronic. He creates controversy out of thin air, often times lying to do so. Due to his lack of any real accomplishments in ten months, clearly he has shown inability to govern.

    It just oozed from her.

Think about the private server and private email, for example. IMO, there are two reasons she wanted it. The first reason goes to what we've been talking about. You see, if she used the "dot gov" email for business, as she should have, then all of her communications would have been a recoverable public record, and she knew it. And why? Because that's the law. It is that way because, theoretically, the government works for us, and the government's business is our business. And that speaks to the respect, and the ultimate authority, that our Constitution gives to our people. So reason #1 is that she didn't share that respect. She wanted to evade accountability to the American public, and, instead, mete out controlled, vetted, crafted information about her thoughts and her doings. Why? It's obvious. Her political ambitions outweighed (in her mind) her obligation to the public because that obligation was simply not important to her. "They don't matter. I matter."

And the second reason, I believe, is that she was blending the power she held as Secretary of State with her Foundation business. You know, all the "play for pay" stuff, Uranium One, huge donations from the Saudis and others, etc, etc, etc. I absolutely do not believe she had a computer tech scrub that hard drive because of conversations with Chelsea about wedding plans and yoga classes, or because of sweet nothings communicated between her and Bill. Not a chance. To believe that is utterly absurd. Nobody cares about any of that, and she knew it. It was the Foundation business that she wanted to be sure was gone forever. My opinion is that she thought she could live with anything that came out ... except that, and that reason is precisely why she was so determined to, first, have the control over the data and then, second, if or when it was discovered, to be able to destroy it all before it could be recovered.

And frankly, this whole, slimy blending of the Foundation with her position, is just another example of her utter disrespect for the concept of service to country and respect for the people you serve. Again, the People don't matter. Nothing mattered except self-interest. And anyone who voted for her who thought she cared about them ... was wrong. Perhaps they weren't discerning enough, perhaps they were willfully ignorant, but, in any case, they were wrong. That woman didn't care about the People - not regular Democrats, not regular Republicans, not plain old regular Americans. What Podesta said was spot on correct.

You know, that is just about a dead nuts description of Obama. And don't ttry to tell me that Obama was a Senator. I'm in Illinois and Obama was a piss-poor excuse for a Senator.

Trump wasn't President then, besides look at 2015 and 2016 and 2017. Full implementation of Obama Care in 2014 really took it's toll.

Pretty telling and sad there are that many either ignorant or socialist eligible voters in this country. Doesn't bode well for the USA. But only a Hillary could make DJT's election possible. It was a perfect storm.

I support trump which drives moderate business-as-usual repub losers like you crazy

Because you expected to lose to hillary and have four more years with no responsibility

But being a kneejerk anti trumpster you still have no respondibilty and you can sit on the sidelines and complain just the same

Trump took the responsibility for action that moderate repubs, you included, didn't want and he is trying to make things happen in washingtion in-spite of your opposition

Somebody is reading my material. Yesterday, I began this thread trying to explain how we elected a man who was completely unprepared to become our next President.

Lo and behold, yesterday Hillary Clinton spoke out about the Trump Presidency on Mother Jones. In the interview she expressed concerns about the legitimacy of the 2016 election. She added, though, that there is no method to redress those concerns. At the same time, she panned efforts from House Democrats to introduce articles of impeachment against the President.

“We don’t have a method for contesting that in our system,” she said. “That’s why I’ve long advocated for an independent commission to get to the bottom of what happened.”

“I think we need the investigations to continue,” she added, “and I think that [impeachment is] premature.”

I agree with Clinton about impeachment, but I disagree with her concerning Trump's legitimacy. As I have tried to explain, the Trump Presidency is a combination of some serious quirks in the election with just plain pure dumb luck. Good luck if you named Trump. Bad luck for everyone else. The Trump Presidency is legitimate.

Of course, in keeping with his paranoid schizophrenia, Trump lashed out with a tweet like he always does.

    Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Crooked Hillary Clinton is the worst (and biggest) loser of all time. She just can’t stop, which is so good for the Republican Party. Hillary, get on with your life and give it another try in three years!

To a large extent that is true, particularly with the black vote.

A number of long-standing trends in presidential elections either reversed or stalled in 2016, as black voter turnout decreased, white turnout increased and the nonwhite share of the U.S. electorate remained flat since the 2012 election. Here are some key takeaways from the Census Bureau’s report, the data source with the most comprehensive demographic and statistical portrait of U.S. voters.
