Supposed to start raining later, drop temps about 30 degrees. Cold or not, we can use the rain.

Drudge reported 60 below zero in Siberia last week - apparently a record for November.
No need for ice cubes in their vodka and coca cola or scotch and ginger ale.
Amazon would be a solution if it had not become such a repulsive dangerous political enterprise.

Yes, winter, as opposed to Weinstein, is still coming.

I remember once I was vacationing in Florida with my College buddy.
We went out one night at a bar that had a couple nice pool tables.
    I was really on my game.Ran the table a couple times { 8 ball }
    But I was also drinking a lot.A drink I always liked.A 7 & 7 { ginger
ale and Seagrams Seven whisky } or a Windsor Press { Windsor Canadian
Whisky and a squirt of ginger ale } I remember counting how many of those
cocktails I had.I kept count.I think it was like 16.
The next day My Buddy insisted we go fishing. He was talking Fishing the
last couple days.I was sick as a dog.I had cramps and ended up in his car
in the back seat feeling like I was beat-up in a professional wrestling ring.
Every part of my body ached.
I leaned my lesson.Never again ... more than a coupe Canadian Whisky
    and Ginger ale.

Saw a documentary about winter in Siberia and it showed people lined up to get milk. They had ice tongs to haul the frozen blocks of milk home. No Yeti required. *shiver*

I've done 90% of my shopping online this year. For the next two weeks, I'll be wearing out UPS. (Also bypassed Amazon)

Scotch happens to be the preferred drink of the Uber wealthy
    and Top CEO.
Not what the Costra Nostra drank { J & B } or even Lou Grant
of - Mary Tyler Moore -.That's all Ed Asner ever drank on that show.

Scotch is not a good mixing drink. It is meant to be drank/drunk straight so you can taste the charcoal aging.

My cat sleeps beside me on top of the bed every night.

Then around 4 a.m. he wakes and jumps down, which stirs and wakes me every time.

So he is my 4 a.m. alarm clock.

Then I get up and open a new small can of cat food for him.

He is a smart cat and he knows how to control his human.

That's the same storm that blew through the Rocky Mountains and dropped several inches of snow.

Hopefully you WILL get rain and not SLEET.

I know Texas gets a lot of sleet in winter -- I used to live in Wichita Falls as a kid.

I learned two things from a friend of mine who had one of those large sized birds that talked.

Non stick pans give off a toxic fume that can kill birds. Think canary in a coal mine. Ive never used them before anyway because I grew up with my mom using Revere Ware stainless steel pans with copper bottoms or cast iron and that's what we use. I bought those type pots and pans once and never had to replace them. If you season cast iron properly things don't stick and you get a bonus of iron from the pan. I don't cook gravy in the cast iron. I wont cook in aluminum either. Growing up they said it was unhealthy to boil water for macaroni in aluminum. I stuck with all that old school knowledge.

Second thing I learned about that bird was Id never own one. The bird look so friendly and held its talon up for me to stick my hand out so it could stand on my arm. My friend was thrilled the bird took to me. I was skeptical but went for it. The bird grabbed my pointing finger to the point it ripped it open. My first natural instinct was to choke that son of a bitch bird to death. I had to quick stop myself. lol
No birds for me aside from cooking in that cast iron pan!

Most people don't realize that birds bite -- and bite hard !!

I learned all about that from my African Lovebirds.
