Graphic video shows Daniel Shaver sobbing and begging officer for his life before 2016 shooting

I don't know all the ins and outs of local police agencies. I just know that several local cities and our county have SWAT teams. They don't sit in a ready room waiting to slide down a pole and into an armored vehicle. Most of the time they are going to serve dangerous warrants. Here is a short article on our local SWAT guys:

R****n COUNTY, ** (******** News Now) -

The R****n County SWAT Team is looking for new hires.

Four deputies came out this week to see if they'd make the cut.

"This job is definitely a calling," said Zach Acy, an Investigator for the R****n County Sheriff's Department, and member of their SWAT Team.

R****n County's SWAT team has been around for about 15 years.

"We go by the 'Special Response Team' because we're more apt to go out on a barricade situation, a hostage situation, a call like that," explained R****n County Undersheriff Raymond Duke.

"The SWAT Team is pretty much 9-1-1 for police officers. When police officers get to the point where they need help, they can call the SWAT team out," added Acy.

And the guys taking on this extra responsibility and putting their lives at risk are not doing it for the money. They actually don't get higher pay for being on the SRT.


The potential hires go through physical training, shooting qualifications, and an interview to make sure they have the right mentality.

Only one of the four who tried out in this batch made the cut.

Another fun fact about R****n County SRT: They have never had to use their weapons to harm someone in any of their missions.​

It is only a matter of time before reality changes; I am not hoping that bad will happen I just see the inevitable. Before I moved to Westchester County in New York, I used to think the same thing, then reality came barging through the door. Stereotypes and media imagery are only the excuses used by those who are primitively evil and seek to maintain an evil order that has enable the same peoples for centuries to continue their evil bent designed to promote the order they protect and live from. In the fall of empire, those who benefit most will go to all extremes to continue their rule over others.
Those closest to the Hand are the first to be sacrificed.

 

If you allow violent thugs and ***holes to roam your area, then you have no reason to complain.

Why would I burn anything down? To make the cop situation worse and then more trigger-happy?

I agree it's rare, but considering it does happen, it needs to be addressed. This situation was completely avoidable.

 

You are not a violent person, from what I detect. However, many riots and many cities have faced riots over cops shooting and beating bad guys who were either trying to harm them or resist arrest:

If the streets were a hollywood cop show you could script perfect policemen who never make mistakes

The jury does not agree with about it being murder

 

I thought that is the responsibility of the PO-LICE! This is the same old madness that has been going on for centuries in this nation, "some are not worthy of the esteemed protection and justice of E Pluribus Unum". I guess the reality of the nature of the Beast; Order out of Chaos is exactly what it is. To know reality is to shield yourself from the deception of said Beast.

 

Maybe I missed something here, but isn't the woman strapped in a chair, so what is the purpose for the pepper-spray?

 

The cop must have been terrified for his life. Sarcasm aside, why the **** was she strapped to a chair?

 

Questions, questions, QUESTIONS! If she was being "difficult, from what parameter are they justifying he being strapped? I refuse to accept that that woman posed any serious physical treat to any of the officers’ in that police house. Being that she was strapped in the chair, what is the justification being used to excuse the use of pepper-spray? I am at the point where everything a cops says, is questionable.

 

Given that the Supreme Court ruled that police can lie with impunity, everything they say IS questionable.

 

Low and behold, because PO-LICE refuse to leave people alone in freedom, a person died.

of pepper spray & tazers - And in Shaver's case they carried things a bit further, screaming
and threatening him with Death and giving him impossible "simon says" tasks until he fell
over, thereby giving these.malignant miscreants the excuse to shoot him Dead according
to the Rules of their Stupid game as set out by these stupid throwbacks

I obviously have no sympathy for the cop at all. I have been through too many instances where the cop is the initiator of the violence and the judge sides with the animal with a badge. I have absolutely no sympathy for cops in general.

 

I do not think the day is far off when a defense attorney for someone who shot a police officer confronting the defendant will prove that the defendant has watched dozens or hundreds of videos like in the OP as reason he feared for his life - for which the jury would watch hours and hours of video after video after video and Youtube accounts of police gunning down or otherwise killing defenseless people arguing the defendant reasonably feared for his life.

Per trials, it is established that if there is even the slightest reason a police officer might fear another person, that officer may shoot that person as many times has he wants to - or as many officers as want to can beat him to death. Since everyone has the SAME self defense rights as police IN THEORY - the same principle would apply. I could see a person being found not guilty or at least a hung jury on that defense.

It is difficult to watch such videos in the context of what if that was my son - as I would then likely post messages that could get me thrown off the forum.

 

Anecdote....
So cops have the benefit of the doubt to shot whoever they want because they perceive a threat. Cuz of this one video.

Going by the video, nobody knows what happened prior to it's start. The first thing the cop comments about is "failure to comprehend simple instructions", so there is that.

The whole thing sucks.
