Agreed public education isn't free since it's paid for with taxes, but disagree with "where ever they like" since most of those taxes are local and state with only 9% or less being Federal. Ergo, vouchers should only apply without county of residence or be determined by each state, not the Feds.

Taxes fund education and students with vouchers should be able to use for a quality education. The vouchers would come from state tax revenues.

 

Here in California where I know our laws the best the school funding is taken from property taxes. The county assessor sends notices to the owners who see the itemized items on the tax bill.

 

In California, it is county revenues and not the general fund.

No, though renters do not pay the county taxes, the landlord factors in taxes in the rent. The school funds are in the county fund used to fund schools.

The idea is to stop nuclear proliferation, once they have them, it's a done deal. Notice that no one is complaining about India and Pakistan either.
