Oh. No. Not at all. The 2nd in its current form is much much better than no 2nd at all. Gun ownership is a right and important. I just argue that it is not currently being adhered to the way it was intended.
In a debate you are supposed to make an argument... not beg the other to make one for you. Are you capable of finally attempting one?
I wonder if shooting smokers would help reduce healthcare costs in the long run? Kill 2 birds with one stone....so to speak.
The prohibition I was asking you about was the prohibition on infringing on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. The 2nd amendments commands that the the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. I would have thought you know this, but I guess not.
If by "baiting tactic" you mean "remind you the truth is not on your side"... Clearly, it doesn't stop you from continuing to argue a position you know is unsound.
This is, of course, false. The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home https://www.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/07-290.ZS.html Your position, disproven.
My "opinions" are at least supported by historical precedent and the Founders documented intent.... unlike yours.
Which you simply ignore and pretend there is no evidence. You can argue all day. However, like Dianne Feinstein, she was found to have a concealed carry permit and a few handguns. So much for her wanting a ban on handguns.
Complete logic fail, and demonstrates you don't have the faintest comprehension of how rights work. There is no "right" to be safe. There is no "right" to be "free from violence." There IS a right to defend yourself when you are confronted by violence. There IS a right to defend yourself from unprovoked violence. Your rights belong to you. You don't have a "right" that supersedes the rights of others. My right to be armed is in no way an imposition on your own rights, but your desire to strip me of my right to be armed because you refuse to take responsibility for your own security is indeed an imposition on me and my rights.
