I think he gives jobs to anyone who is qualified for them. At the same time I think he sees that our Nation has more than enough unskilled, uneducated people for the jobs available.

Most of the unskilled work is moving to automation or will be...why would we still want to flood ourselves with that level of immigrant? We need immigrants who offer something in return. Something of value. It's not racist to want that.

Plenty of other countries in the Caribbean that are not shitholes. Let us know when people start immigrating to Haiti.

I just read the American posts matey - they are full of the most insane, antiquated hatred and racism. I don't knows how much history you've studied, but why do you suppose anyone would leave his/her own country unless unable to make it where they lived?

I don't know what you've read, but I know that buzzwords like "Hate and racism" are tossed around as commonly as the word hello today. They are at risk of losing any meaning because the feelings based crowd over uses them so much.

As to your bolded point, yes people come here to try and make a better living..not arguing that. The problem is when they don't have any skills that this country needs, and we're still loading up on them. This has an impact on the Nation.

We have more unskilled, low/un educated people than we need right now. We don't need more. Immigration has to go back to a Merit Based system.

It's what they say everywhere: I think, though, that it is to deny the huge urge to grow 'fitter' in the second generation, if not the first itself.

Take a look at those countries, there are reasons which have nothing to do with color. The people we would be getting from said countries don't have skill sets and education that would make them a gain here. Has nothing to do with skin color.

They would be a negative, and a drain here and we already have too much of that. What we need now are people who will be self sufficient and add to our needs and skills...not come here and get taken care of by the taxpayer.

I don't recall anybody espousing the greatness of any other country. I recall the word "shthole" used to describe some countries,
a poor choice of words from a sitting president.

There is no proof he said it - he said, progressive media said.

And some senators who were at that meeting. Dead silence from Republican leaders. Fox news is tiptoeing around it.

Why do you think not a single Democrat present at the meeting has gone on record to confirm the claim. Not one, at least that I can find.

Perhaps the President used some other reference, one that the President has confirmed today was "tough". Would Republicans want to get mixed up in this tornado WaPo has created? Apparently not.

Hard for bezos to sell product when his client base is referred to so eloquently. So, Bezos uses his rag to further burn down the town.... Watch amazon stock. It will signpost future WAPO commentary.

Trump is a bigot and has been all his life, his father before him with the apartment deal in the 1970s. Let's not forget that 99.9% of Americans have come from immigrants who migrated here from sht hole countries where they were very poor. They worked the mills of America and their children grew up to be America's leaders. I know what we need and Trump would keep them out also. He
opposes immigration. Look what he is doing with DACA. This is a no-brainer and he is holding them hostage.

Remember the outrage when Hillary referred to 50% of trump supporters as deplorable?

Different times and different circumstances. bet most of them saw Marlboro ads in their Newspapers and Magazines. Times and circumstances change. To just toss out the platitudes of "We're a Nation of immigrants" doesn't cut it.

He doesn't oppose immigration at all, he's ok with immigration...if it's people that offer something to the Nation that we need! Seems like common sense. Who keeps loading up their Nation with people likely to be on Welfare who don't offer skills that will help?
That's not Immigration...that's charity, and if we're going to do charity how about we take care of Americans who need it first.

The people in DACA weren't supposed to be here either, and before you say they were dragged here and have no choice....most are over 18 now, and still stay here with illegal status. They could have turned 18 and then decided to get in line the right way, but they didn't they chose to stay...like the parents did. DACA is just another round of full Amnesty. The DACA's stay...their families stay....

We have no need to honor it at all honestly.

    He described them accurately.

He is not the first president to use bad language either.

In a private conversation, surely none of you have ever called a place a shithole, despariging it’s residents. Ofcourse the stupid dems had to run out and make a big deal out of it insuring the bipartisanship is now null and void. Brilliant strategy, because we all know your side hasn’t come up with crap except let every freaking poor person in the country to help you win elections.

It's hearsay, and even if he did say it, is he wrong ? Who in the US wants to move to Africa or Haiti ?
