    Dive bar.
    A few things are missing. An old clothesline used to rope off an area. A big garbage bag for the Budweiser cans to go in. Some guy in a wheelchair near the jukebox flicking a lite cigarette at the chick at the bar. The chick at the bar grabbing the wheelchair and the guy in it and trying to drag him out the door and push him into traffic. His friends pulling her away. Her drinking for free the rest of the night and never returning.

    Theres a bar and grill in the city-owned airport about a 1/2 mi from me, but no more bar crowd like Scott's. I remember the time all the ladies sitting around the bar slipped off our bras and threw them at the bartender/owners head. He tacked them up all around the bar and it waz free drinks for the gals! Good times. :alcoholic:

    Kewl bar I visited last weekend. Cant have a dive bar down here without a big stuffed marlin.

    There was also a Bar off campus like all the off campus bars
    within easy walking distance of the U of D campus.
    It was Dotties Bar.A fairly simple bar.A lot of non-college types
    went there.But it was especially fun late at night on a weekend.
    One could walk around and kick chairs and even knock over tables.
    Like there was no management.I remember going there on weeknights
    my sophomore year on account they had the freshest tasting Stroh's
    beer on tap.Man I used to get stoned on the walk down to Dotties
    and then the way back.I remember starring at the bubbles of that
    really nice Stroh's draft beer.Of course I had limited funds.I just as soon
    drink all night long.But Dotties was a fun bar.Ya kinda felt like you owned the
    bar at closing time on the weekends.The way folk would walk around drunk off their
    ass and knock chairs and tables over.

    Things have changed in this country when it comes to coffee. Back in the day we drank 8 O'Clock, mainly because it was the A&P store brand. I wasn't aware it was still being sold, but saw it in the super market the other day and bought some for old times sake (plus it was cheap). I thought it tasted ok but my wife, a Starbucks person, instructed me to never, ever, ever buy it again.

    Lesson learned.

    I actually like Community Coffee. But then again, I tired of the dark roast stuff a few months ago and now prefer a milder brew. Milder is also cheaper. ;)
