I have not tried to coerse any of you godless to believe as I do. I merely state my beliefs and am attacked by cowards.
Be careful not to state your beliefs because they are rather foolish and I would not bother to attack them.
My beliefs when ever possible come from the writings of the founding fathers themselves. Most of the main founders was large scale writers both for and to the public of their time and between themselves. Thanks to the internet most of their writings are now available and there is little need to go to secondary sources to understand them. As far as your reference to a book selling George Washington religion faith my question is so what? He was the military leader of the revolution and of course the first president however he was not one of the main architect of the government to be, such as Madison, Jefferson, Franklin or even Hamilton so his personal faith would have little to no impact on the form of the US government.
Then if you want to learn....Sacred Fire has a ton of writings from the Founding Fathers. Many of which do not fit your narrative.
You think my beliefs are foolish? I believe an invisible man in. The sky went poof and everything fell Into place, I believe he killed everyone and filled an ark with two of everything. And of course he turned a woman into salt.....nothing foolish there
Yes I am sure however it is damn hard to get around the direct and plain writings of the founders. Christians had been lying about their faith being the foundation of this nation for generations and I had label such as [lying for Jesus.] Here is another nail into that coffin ...........
Lol so the story of a god who have all the worst of human nature in his makeup wave his hands and created you and that give you purposes in life??????? Why would such a god give you a purpose in life and I do not remember one time of the bible god limiting rape and murder and mayhem. Hell one of the main human spoke persons in the bible Moses order his army to killed all the women and the Children they had capture but for the young women who had yet to know a man. You worship a truly monster of a god if you worship the Christian god. For the fun of it take an electronic bible and run a search on the word kill and see how many times either god directly of his prophets had order killings.
Is this another of your fictional sources? Have found no mention of it on any best seller list, so that may just be you fabricating facts again. You will try to twist anything to support your agenda.
By your own statement then, many of these writings also do not fit your narrative. But you continue to ignore inconvenient facts like these.
Once again, you make a false assumption and state it as fact. With no evidence to back it up, as usual.
No, you are the coward who states what you choose to believe as irrefutable fact while disparaging any who disagree with you. It is your posting history.
Reduced to calling names. That really shows how little evidence you have and how you fear any real conversation. What you call an attack is just returning what you do with all responses that you don't like. If there are "tides of godless" on these forums, it is because of the false information that you produce and lack the courage to discuss. You will not even read or discuss what few beliefs that I have stated, showing a lack of ability to do so.
Sorry once more your logic have a hole in it that you could throw the universe through. The universe could not come about without a god existing to created it so my friend where did this all powerful and all knowing universe maker come from a god that would need to be must more complex then the whole universe? All that bringing in a god is to move the universe question one step backward without gaining anything by doing so.
Why is there belief in God. First the beliefs are multitude. If the premise is that there exists a being or beings that are omniscient n all that happens is beyond challenge inevitable. Then am I writing this? Does it matter.
Furthermore there were Muslims who fought for America during the Revolutionary war and in the Civil War. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslims_in_the_United_States_military
Really? Tell me where millions of Christians were slaughtered because they were Christian, Sounds like you have victim envy
In Russia...... and China and many Communist countries.... ....... during the Stalinist purges....... and Maoist purges..... at least one poster put forward an intriguing theory on that ....... that relates it to the demographics of the Bolshevik Party...... Also......astonishing numbers of Irish were killed because they were Catholic...... and astonishing numbers of Protestants were killed during the Dark Ages and during the Inquisition because they were not Catholic..... or perhaps not Catholic enough..... But before all that the pagan Roman Empire martyred a huge number of Christians especially during the times of certain Emperors who wanted to use Christians as a Scapegoat.
They were killed because they were Christians? Nothey were killed for political reasons....stalin purges Interesting that the other groups you described were Christians killing other Christians
Since the Roman Empire didn't care what you worshiped the myth of Christian "martyrs" is nonsensical. Might as well call everyone who the Romans killed a "martyr" since they probably believed in one pagan god or another. There is a better case to be made that Romans martyred the Jews because they used their religion to resist Roman oppression. Early Christians were not identified with anything that would have disrupted the Roman Empire there was no reason to persecute them. In fact Paul, the man of the Lie and a Roman himself, ordered Christians to obey Roman laws.
Jesus also told people to obey Roman laws. He was often asked if he was restoring Israel's Kingship. Acts 1: 6-7 6. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7. And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. Taxes to Romans Matthew 22: 17. Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou ? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? 18. But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? 19. Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. 20. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? 21. They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. 22. When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.
Semantics. God is unprovable. God is mealy a word. Quoting words is unsatisfactory. Deeper in yourself are you truly you. Faith is not not knowing. Faith is not having to know.
