A tweet? When was a tweet considered headline news? A tweet is an opinion by any Joe Blow. This is your "fake news"? This is your Sinclair proof? No, this is ultimate fail.

The CNN story is not fake news, because it was retracted and the employees resigned. They did not stand behind the story, so there was nothing fake about it. The story doesn't exist.

 

You aren't saying anything. Produce the documented proof of fake news that Sinclair is talking about coming from CNN and MSNBC, or your claims are just lies. Your buddies have already been caught spewing them. Let's see how you fair. And don't push tweets. Tweets are opinions, not news.

It ia noteworty that it made no mention whatsoever of the flood of fake news websites that appeared and disappeared during the election, much of whose content was picked up and parroted by various right wing blogs.
We now know that much of this was done by the Russians. This garbage was widely repeated on this forum by various right wingers and shared on social media (which is why 130 million people eventually saw this stuff).

Nor, of course, does it mention the candidate's serial lying or his attempts to delegitimize any voiced critical of him, although sowing mistrust in news is exactly what the Federalist porported to be alarmed about.

It seems that their concern was highly selective and very narrowly focused.

If CNN retracts a story that wasn't accurate, it was from human error, not fake news that they stand by. There is a big difference. Too bad you conveniently believe otherwise on purpose. That happens on Fox News virtually every day. No one resigns, and nothing is ever retracted. In fact, if the story trends well enough (like the Seth Richard conspiracy theory, Planet Ping Pong, or the new favorite hoarde of Mexicand in a caravan), then they repeat and recycle the lie!

Provide evidence of any liberally aligned network forcing local tv personalities to read propoganda from a corporate script.

Since you are making that assertion, you are expected to substantiate your claim.

 

A multi billion dollar merger between 2 giant media outlets that reach more than 2/3rds of American homes violating anti trust laws because Trump is in bed with conservative media and routinely parrots their exact narrative in his tweets. A dangerous narrowing of perspective by a few top media outlets pushing a specific narrative, liberal talk radio and news is surpressed big time. News anchors reading a carefully written script agains their will (it's in their contracts unless they quit) demonizing liberal media while trying to brainwash their viewers into assuming anything not from their specific outlet is trustworthy or even newsworthy at all.


None of this occurred to you when hearing about this story??? I see why Sinclair has succeeded with you.
