I just heard a defender of Facebook say on - Tucker - that
Facebook surely was not any Monopoly. When in point of fact,
Facebook & Google account for over 90% of Advertiser Data/use.
Meaning Facebook does more and effective Spying on it's users
than even the NSA { National Security Agency } could hope to game.
I'm Old Fashioned.I don't care if Family or Friends know what kind
of food I like or clothes I buy.But having total strangers in some big
*Menlo Park office know all about my buying trends and daily thoughts
is more than Creepy. It's as close to Orwellian as I could hope to imagine.

    * The Wizard of Menlo Park should always remain Thomas Edison,
known for Inventing the modern world.Numerous and well-intentioned
things to make for a more Modern world.
This Zuckerberg creep created no such thing.Just a convenient and
dopey Fools device to attract and manipulate suckers.
As least Apple makes a Product.

Aside from the fact that your post is oddly formatted and very difficult to read, I have this comment.

There are millions and millions of websites on the internet. Some of them are really cool. If you don't like the website http://www.facebook.com, then I would suggest that you don't visit that website. That way, there will be no way for that website to advertise to you or spy on you.

You are in complete control over which internet websites you choose to visit. If you don't like the website http://www.facebook.com, then I suggest that you never, ever, ever type that URL into your web browser.

I need an example of how oddly formatted my post is.
Surely you can give an appropriate example.

Actually, it's pretty difficult to avoid when its links are smattered all over the internet as a way to sign into third party sites, not to mention being expected to show up on it by friends and relatives. I have to go there if I want to see current photos of my grandkids.

No, you don't have to go to that particular website in order to acquire any good or service that you can't acquire somewhere else.

As Nancy Reagan said, "Just say no"

Before Google and Mark Zuckerberg nobody knew you were watching porn of the WWW.

Mark Zuckerberg is scum, he backed stabbed his friends and business partners.

If Zuckerberg was broke he would sell his sister to the Mexican drug cartels.

The guy does not sell a product but a service. The fact that it's FREE should
have set off 3 fire alarms.Like a security home system.
The fact that he's oh so smiley face is another giveaway.
Yes,what the Harvard graduate created is a neat social tool.
But it eventually became corrupted then jaded. How can there be any
thrill to using facebook when practically everyone is doing it.
It's like having a mirror.Virtually everyone has a mirror in either their
    residence,vehicle or purse.For what ... you ask.To see themselves.
Same thingy as Facebook. With Facebook we have arrived in a
virtual reality of self-centeredness and gloating. The world of
Voyeurism gone amuck. What else compels it's users to act so
dependent on.At least coffee drinkers give it a break on the beach or
at a family gathering or store. Not Facebook users. They are attached at
the hip to their Fool's device.Like Tweeting. It's really quite a sight.
Talk about humans turning into robots in just a single decade,

LOL, Id say you have an overblown impression of your own self importance. Trust me, dumplin... no one cares what you or I think or say... about anything. We're not even blips on anybodys radar.

Because we all know by now how much education it requires to
sign-in for Facebook and be a user.Like maybe at best a 5 th grade
education for a public not private school.Maybe a 3rd grade education
    from a private school.
Facebook is merely a vehicle to watch oneself { selfies } and pics
of friends or possessions { latest car or toy or Whatever }.
Or make comments that require little besides a general knowledge
of people, places and things. The Wall Street Journal listed all the
data Facebook can grab when you upload a photo.
Used to be fussy housewives would not let a travelling salesman
into their home if it was a tad messy. Now Today this Suckersberg
Peeping Tom found a way to make it ... The In Thing.

You are making a case against using Facebook. The very thing that makes
Facebook popular is what made the TV show ... Lifestyles of the Rich
and Famous. Because people crave having a pipe dream.
Facebook helps nurture that craving. It's as close to the Andy Warhol
prediction " In the future everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes. "
Take away any need for using Facebook and it's ability to rise one
towards some kind of fame and you lick the problem of self-centeredness.

Honestly, Foolie. You should get brave enough to join so you'd at least know what youre talking about and sound more informed and less like a fishmongers wife gossiping over the back fence.

Mark Suckersberg was asked just One question
concerning how he { Facebook } personally helped
President Obama in 2012.Then he " Hemmed & Hawed "
    in order to deflect.

I talk to younger people and they aren't concerned with privacy at all. Until they find out why they didn't get hired for that job they applied for or are denied a security clearance because they posted something really stupid eight years ago on social media even though they removed the post a minute after posting it.

Once its on the internet, it's there for life and it's for sale.

What the **** is this taking selfies all about ?

Why is that snowflake texting someone who's only ten feet away ?

Yesterday one Senator asked Zuckerberg if you're making money from selling personal information of someone who has a Face Book account, why doesn't that person get a portion of the profits ?

Zuckerberg spent five hours before the Senate hearings yesterday and during those five hours he made $ 2 billion dollars off of Face Book users selling their personal information.

I don't have a Facebook account. I have never wanted one. My family, over the years, has asked me to create an account and its always the same answer. If you want to speak to me, call me or come over. If you are an old friend who I haven't spoken to in years, there is probably a good reason for that. Move on. I have.
My question about Facebook has to do with other people having a Facebook account. Does Facebook collect data from its user of non users who they are texting or calling?

Just to be clear.Explain how in half a day's time the Suckersberg
made $ 2 Billion.Unless his Facebook stock rose.Today his stock is
    up around $ 2.70 and increase of around + 1.78 %.
I doubt his company is out explaining who bought DATA the last couple
    days.
