Ah, so not taking someones money is tantamount to giving them money. I see.

YES, the churches pay no taxes...since they then get everything for free that everyone else has to honestly and fairly pay for that IS just like giving the churches money, welfare, a HUGE break, they keep their TONS of money....what can't you get about that.

We'd all have more money if we didn't pay taxes, that's why they call tax breaks tax breaks and why people cheat on their taxes , to save money...

Okay, so I'm glad you clarified that the government doesn't actually give churches money.

Yes, they do. If the churches were taxed, as everyone else is, they'd owe lots of money to the government.

But the government "gives" their money back by not making them pay their fair share....the churches use everyone else's money by not paying taxes, they're moochers and "on the dole"

Oh, gosh, this must be too deep.

YES, in a way the church gets "checks" by getting stuff for free that the rest of us have to pay for.

When a poor person goes to the food shelf to get free food , they don't get a paper check, they get a benefit which is like the government giving them money.

Which is exactly what churches do.

When I taught in Brooklyn our school was failing so the chancellor gave us the opportunity to create three mini schools within the building. It was fantastic because instead of working with 1000 kids we each had about 300 so we were able to really keep tabs on them and it was so successful, so of course the funding dried up. Our mini school required kids to work 2 hours a week to a charity

This is exactly what I am talking about, class, these people don't care about people getting the help they need, what they care about is growing government. Jesus didn't say "If you see someone giving charity to the poor, take it from them and hand it over to Caesar so Caesar can keep most of it and throw the poor the bones that are left."

This is what keeps so-called liberals from being Christian, they worship an idol called gobernment.

The pupil/teacher ratio is the key to successful schools that seems to be beyond the grasp of those responsible for administering them.

Teaching kids to be socially responsible is one of the keys to them becoming useful and productive members of society because they get to see that not everyone is as fortunate as they are.

This is true, but there are still a lot of communities out there who get ignored or pushed to the side. Like healthcare for all...it might not have been perfect but it really reached people who otherwise had no chance of getting healthcare.

If you're talking about the ones who abuse help and use gov assistance as a family tradition...yes that needs to stop. Enabling bad behavior doesnt help anyone, I agree.
I just know Ive never seen so many homeless people. They are not all addicts or suffering from mental illness. Many are working and looking for a normal life.

To some people health care will never be perfect until they can get it for nothing with no out of pocket expense.

Let me ask you something: what is it worth to you to have your health restored from, say, heart disease or cancer? What is it worth to live? Is it not worth it to pay someone who only works to feed their own family their salary to treat you? Or do you expect everything for free? If you get a $20,000 hospital bill and insurance/medicaid/Medicare pays for all but $2,000 is that too much to pay? Would you rather make payments on your hospital bill or would you rather make payments on a car?

I know people who earn less than I do and they spend more money than I ever would on things I would never spend it on.

Bottom line: you can't depend on the government to take care of you. Someone is always going to fall through the cracks and you don't want it to be you.

But, the so-called "liberals" like to spew their hatred for both conservatives and Christians while they pretend to care about the poor. They are rather like the Pharisee in the temple in Luke 18:10.

And another thing that disqualifies them as Christians - their hatred for their fellow man. You can't hate your brother, who you have seen and claim to love God, who you have not seen, according to St. John.

Already provided the references to the koran. Read the OP.

Or google it, if you really want to be educated, there are many sites which provide detailed explanations.

Whenever someone says "the onus is entirely on you" it means that someone cannot refute the argument, but is too stubborn to admit it. Why are you in the forum? Certainly not to converse.

"Christians" hate so much they can't even bake a cake for gays....that's some pretty good hate...

Now prove how liberals hate their fellow man ..

….and I don't need some imaginary figure to tell me who to love ...or not.....and Christians seem very good at " or not".

You prove it yourself, over and over again, you don't need an imaginary figure, you hate very well on your own.

(This is where you drag out the "I know you are but what am I" defense.)
