Sarcasm noted. Are you TRULY so mentally inflexible that you can't comprehend that just because someone supports one position considered "right wing" that they might not knee jerk support EVERYTHING "right wing"??
bwa ha ha..do really wanna work that angle?....what I see on the roads every day doesn't support it lol
true...gun control demonstrates the failure of crime control at all levels..it's a magic show designed to distract the gullible
Stupid analogy. America has enough laws on guns, we just don't enforce them. For example, most gangbangers have illegal guns. When they are caught with these guns, they aren't charged for having illegal guns. In other words, we don't enforce gun laws against them. Also, I guess the French just can't drive, so they need slower speed limits. I bet Germany doesn't lower their speed limits.
maybe this will make the point : Revealed: Gunman who opened fire on festival-goers before cops shot him dead was a gang member on early release from prison having been convicted of MURDER Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-gang-member-early-release-prison-MURDER.html
Based on all available information that has been read on the subject, the stated velocity of any particular cartridge is based on the results of numerous cartridges fired, with the numbers tallied and divided across the number of rounds actually fired. Apparently even a grain worth of difference in the powder charge affects the velocity from one round to another, meaning some will be faster or slower than others in the same batch.
They just lower the speed limits on public roads (90km/h to 80 km/h) so we use the paying high roads (130 km/h), it's just extortion.
They helped when they were first instaured, because idiots were driving around 80km/h in cities, but right now, it's just a way for the government to racketeer us.
Reckless driving would cover 80km/h in a city. Speed limits are just an excuse for arbitrary police harassment and revenue generation for governments that are inherently corrupt to begin with.
I think it's usefull. It's this lowering which is unfair. Rules are good, that what enables us to live together. Furthermore, a car isn't simply a car, it's a dangerous tool, a huge responsibility. Freedom can't exist with responsibility. I don't care of that some idiots die because they're driving too fast, but often they kill other people. When they put some rules, the number of death caused by car accidents dropped down. However there is no proof that lowering the speed from 90 km/h to 80 km/h will lower the number of death in a significant way.
Reckless driving is the only rule needed. Let a jury decide. Real government reform could start by eliminating half of the current rules and regulations.
Many of these road traffic laws were controversial when they first came out (which was a long time ago). Since then they have kind of been like a slippery slope. The fact that we have all these road laws then legitimizes all sorts of other similarly controlling laws off the road. But that's the fallacy of incrementalism.
I'm speaking from a french point of view and I'm not sure reckless driving is a crime in France and I doubt we have the time to gather jury for every "reckless driving". I'm not anti rules, rules can be good, it enable people to live together. The problem is, what is a fair rule and what is an unfair rule ? Limiting speed for me is a fair rule, limiting too much speed is an unfair rule. It's just a matter of moderation.
Disarmed human beings are designated victims. "And since government is essentially organized and institutionalized power, the current question What is the end of government? does not make much sense either. The answer will be either question begging—to enable men to live together—or dangerously utopian—to promote happiness or to realize a classless society or some other nonpolitical ideal, which if tried out in earnest cannot but end in some kind of tyranny." Hannah Arendt, On Violence, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company, NY, 1970. p. 51,52.
So France reduced the maximum speed from 55 mph to 50 mph? So they like Jimmy Carter's way. So the car-kooks of France still are demanding the right to have and drive vehicles? Outlawing motor vehicles would reduce motor vehicle deaths, but the car-kooks of France cling to their cars like religious fanatics. For safety's sake, it should require a permit for a person to leave their residence - which must also have passed federal safety inspections.
Bicycles and walking in public both MUST be outlawed. There are HUNDREDS of bicycle deaths and THOUSANDS of bicycle injuries EVERY YEAR! THOUSANDS of pedestrians are killed with tens of thousands injured EVERY YEAR! Our corrupt politicians keep getting bought off by the bicycle and shoe manufacturers resulting in massive numbers of deaths. NO ONE HAS TO RIDE A BICYCLE. People can walk or jog inside their own homes and people can shop online. There is no reason, ever, for a person to be on a bicycle or be just walking around outside. Nor is riding a bike or walking in public a constitutional right. SO OUTLAW BOTH to stop all the death!!!
