Do you not want teachers and coaches looking out for your young son or daughter while they're in college, even if they are 18, 19, or 20? That's a weird argument, IMO. In fact, it sounds morally bankrupt. It's almost as if you are blaming the victims.

According to Bluesguy, Jim Jordan was just a kid, and that made it totally appropriate for him to shower and sauna in the nude with these guys, regardless of the fact that he was paid to be their coach, and the fact that he was there for 8 long years.

You'd probably have a different attitude if it happened to your child, adult or not. I certainly hope so.

 

All of whom, mind you, call the incidents a running joke! My take on this: some of the team members were maliciously gossiping about the 'gay' doctor and making him the brunt of the jokes. I'm beginning to wonder if these 'outcry' accusers weren't in fact the abusers.

By all accounts the jockular humor they all claim was rampant in the locker room was pointed at Dr. Strauss, the gay guy.

The anonymous alleged victim said it was common knowledge that Strauss “used to take showers with the team even though he didn’t do any workouts, and everybody used to snicker about how you go into his office for a sore shoulder and he tells you to take your pants down.”

Seriously! What's the harm being alleged here? That a doctor durring a physical exam asked the patient to pull his shorts down?

Knew what, that the Doctor might have been gay? No where in the accusations is there any claim at all that Dr. Strauss assaulted anyone, only that the accusers felt uncomfortable around a gay doctor. That's it bro, it's all you've got.

Did you forget about the nurse who was also a witness to the abuse, or how Hellickson tried to get the university to move the facility to a private facility? I'm sure he didn't do that because of all the funny "haha" jokes.

Strauss allegedly preyed on male students during physicals, groping them to the point of making them ejaculate, according to one nurse who witnessed it and recounted the story in a video produced by alleged victims and obtained by POLITICO.
