Where did the wives of Cain and Abel come from?

I am unaware they had sisters, they impregnated Eve.....or maybe Lilith was still around so its not so Icky.

 

Everything has a growth factor. People do not wake up one morning with a more loving heart and a brilliant mind, its a gradual progression. In Abraham's world, humans were sacrificed to appease whoever or whatever they felt was causing them problems. When Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son, it was nothing unusual to him, since he knew no differently. It was then that our Creator God revealed Himself by telling him to stop, and that God did not want or expect human sacrifices.

When God felt the time was ripe to reveal Himself even further, He gave Moses the Ten Commandments. Then later on, when God felt humanity was now ready for a full revelation of Himself, and how they could achieve unity with Him in His Kingdom/Realm/Dimension, He had His Word incarnated into flesh.

 

Yes! And if you are the object, it can be a very frightening experience. The eyes are like black coals with embers. I have had the experience thank you.

 

It should have just shown up and said something...that would have eliminated centuries of BS and shown us puny humans that there was something there to bow to. Instead it makes some slabs of rules and tells an old man to show folks, knowing the slabs will disappear and his message of rules will be doubted....not a very bright move.

 

The Kingdom of God is 'within us'. In other words, we have to change the way we think in order to achieve divinity and be with God. God can't do it for us.

Margot, this is a subject that intrigues me. I personally believe in an expanding earth, and one of the proofs given is that dinosaurs could never have lived with our gravity. They wouldn't be able to walk, and in order for gravity to be weaker, the earth would have had to be smaller.

Of course this bodes the question, were people bigger as well? This would account for the massive walls that exist in the world and for places like Stonehedge, but then what about the skulls of Neanderthals, Denisovans, etc? They weren't bigger than what we are today?

Anyway I'm sure grandmother Eve was not 90 feet tall. I did hear one speaker say though that all the DNA in the world goes back to one woman who lived 7 thousand years ago. So why isn't anyone else saying it?

 

Then let me explain it better. At one time I doubted everything, and then decided that instead of doubting, why not accept everything until proven otherwise. Once I changed from a negative perspective to a positive one, God began revealing Himself to me. There is a Cross that comes with it though.

 

I suppose it would be a matter of rational thought going into the understanding of "Proven" and accepting what is Disproven. There will never be a way to "Prove" God unless it shows up to do so. There is however enormous amounts of evidence that disproves the God written about in the Bibles. While what you describe is purposeful ignorance, that is fine. It is not fine for me so there is no God.

Ancient mythology originated as "evening entertainment and knowledge transfer" around the campfire. A little natural herb or fermented some such, maybe a drum or two and let the tales of gods and morality begin.

Except that I saw the fiery eyes of a demon and I couldn't look at them. But look, they can appear as angels of light to those who favor them, so if you prefer to call them 'spirit guides' as they do in Hollywood, then be my guest. To me they're demons.

Some believe their wives were their sisters. Adam and Eve had many unnamed daughters, and if you go with the fundamentalist view that Adam was the only man created and Eve was created from his rib, then their daughters would be the only available wives for their sons.

Others believe that Adam and Eve were not the only people created by god, but merely the only ones placed in the garden. This is based on the fact that according to the book of genesis, males and females were created at the same time.

So, if you go with this view, then there would be women on earth for them to marry not directly related to them.
