Dems are going at Brett pretty hard.

A Sexual-Misconduct Allegation Against the Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh Stirs Tension Among Democrats in Congress

    https://www.newyorker.com/news/news...ugh-stirs-tension-among-democrats-in-congress

On Thursday, Senate Democrats disclosed that they had referred a complaint regarding President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, to the F.B.I. for investigation. The complaint came from a woman who accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct when they were both in high school, more than thirty years ago.
    ....................................................................................................................
I had heard a reference made to something Sen. Feinstein had become aware of but didn't know what it was. This must be it.
Shades of Roy Moore.......an allegation of sexual abuse from the past. This on top of the revelations from Sen. Mazie Hirono about Brett's attitude towards native Hawaiians.......and their implication for native Alaskans..........which have Murkowski's attention.

In all likelihood Brett gets confirmed. But I'm glad to see Dems are no longer bringing a squirt gun to the kinds of knife fights the Repubs engage in.

Kavanaugh will be confirmed with 55 votes.

The Democrats know it, and know they can do nothing about it - so, like spoiled children used to getting their own way, they whine, cry and throw tantrums.

Thank you for yet another example of this.

What? OK ... so Kavanaugh's "victim" ... looking a LOT like an opportunist ... is abetted by Dirty Dianne Feinstein, and the OP "is glad to see" it? :wall: #metoo ... having the best intentions of real victims in mind is being destroyed by unscrupulous, opportunistic grifters. Another democratic sell out. Hopefully backlash will unseat Feinstein, who's guaranteed Kavanaugh's confirmation BTW. Dianne's a real Jackass.

What the hell are you talking about? It’s an anonymous source who refuses to come forward with a claim with no evidence that can never be proven for something that supposedly happened back in ****ing high-school decades ago and the actual event itself wasn’t even an actual big issue and you think you’ve suddenly him? You’re desperation is hilarious.

All that matters is the implication of inappropriate behavior - the severity of the charge, rather than the veracity and relevance of the claim- is what's important.
    When you're a liberal.
    And it benefits you, politically.

I recently heard from an anonymous source, who sent a letter but who wants to remain anonymous. The letter is a complaint from a man who accused Feinstein of sexual misconduct when they were both in high school, more than thirty years ago. I will respect the anonymous person's wishes. Now prove that I'm lying.
Anyone could send a democrat, or republican, an anonymous letter stating misconduct by anyone. Sen Joe McCarthy made a career of this. Sen Harry Reed said an anonymous source claimed Gov Mitt Romney hadn't paid his income taxes in 10 years. If the media would do it's job they would demand names and sources or not put out the story.
The strange info about Kavanaugh can not be proven. It can't even be proven if the letter writer comes forward. So that alone makes it a non-story.
Confirm the fine man, fold the tent, and move the circus on down the line.

Woman accuses Kavanaugh of assault in letter to senator

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/14/politics/kavanaugh-letter-assault-supreme-court/index.html

Kavanaugh held his hand over her mouth at one point, and she said she felt her life was inadvertently in danger.
She said she was able to leave the room and go into a hallway bathroom. After Kavanaugh and the other male began talking to others in the house, she went home.
There is no indication the woman reported the incident to law enforcement at the time, but she said she has received medical treatment regarding the alleged assault. The woman also declined to come forward publicly after sending the letter to Feinstein. The accuser's name was redacted before Feinstein forwarded it to the FBI.

Kavanaugh will be confirmed with 55 votes, and there's nothing you can do about it.

How about a republican congress that refused to do its job when Obama was President to confirm a new Judge when a seat became open? Talk about spoiled children. That's a stolen SCOTUS seat.

Obama was the reason the congress went Republican. Obama cost the Dems a lot of seats. Had he not flipped congress, he would have had the votes to push his pick through but as someone once said "Elections have consequences".

And you're gonna be the first to cry when the DEMs flip it and play hardball themselves.

Pretty common for congress to flip in midterms.

You know I was thinking. This is a bad nominee. Seriously, he is. But that could be a gift in disguise for democrats. Given that Kav is a documented perjurer, and how partisan things have been, democrats could just impeach him once they regain control while they couldn't justify it for a more untainted conservative judge.

Says he who does not understand the GOP used the Dem's practices against them.
Harry Reid opened the door.. and held it open for Gorsuch.
Still upset at the "stolen" seat? Be honest and blame Reid.

Unless you are very wealthy and powerful, your are chearing on the loss of your rights.

The definition of a right-wing judge, is one who consistently takes the side of the more powerful over the less powerful. That is what Kavanaugh's record shows.

Supposedly, Feinstein had this letter in her pocket since July. What a classy Bork like move to pull it out now. BTW wise old Chuck Grassley countered her move this morning and the vote will take place and those that said 55 votes aye could be right on the money.
    On to RBG.

    More unsupportable nonsense.

Any other unsupportable nonsense you'd like to add?
